Dinner: what did you have?

The daughter wanted a pulled pork sandwich from Subway after soccer. So, we went to City BBQ. A Lo Lo Sandwich with a side of green beans and sweet vinegar slaw.

Had a Mama Bearno's pizza last night. Fantastic. Among my favorite pizzas in town.

Returning now from Canadian fly-in fishing. Ate Walleye all week: fried with light cornmeal, cracker crumb coating, baked with horseradish crust. Slaw, both vinegar and made with Brianna's poppy seed dressing, frozen peas, and honey roasted peanuts. Hush puppies, baked beans and of coarse, fried taters & onions rounded out some meals. Made carmelized bananas for dessert one night. Had northern Pike for appetizers. Breakfast was the only non fish meal. It was heaven. First meal back, 1/2 lb cheeseburger on top of a big salad with thousand island dressing.

For lunch today cucumbers from the garden and 2 tomatoes. Love this time of year.

Is that it? Doesn't that go on top of a burger or something?

Finally the family will all be home tonight. I'll be torching up pork chops, portabello mushrooms and Scallops on the grill. Doing some corn on the cob as well. Can't wait.

Burger night at 915 bar and grill.

Well the oldest just strolled an hour after work and said he and the youngest just went and got a bite to eat. So he is off to a buddies house. No corn on the cob at the local farmers market so scratch that. Told Mrs. TAC we are still cooking for us. They can reheat it for lunch of their midnight snack.

So much for plans!

Happens to me all the time. So hard to plan a family meal once they have jobs and can drive.

Update! Mrs. TAC just dropped the hammer. Both kids to be home by 8:00 for a family dinner.

I love Walleye. IMO, it is the best fresh water fish that there is. It sounds like some great eating.

Pulled pork nachos with cheddar and jack cheese. Dessert was a sweet, ripe watermelon.

If they got a bite at 5, they will be hungry again at 8. Enjoy!

Bacon and tomato sandwich with home grown tomatoes and half a watermelon...well..I did share with the dogs, so not a WHOLE half.

Pork chops and green beans. Delicious.
