April 20, 201412 yr Ham, Mashed Taters, Green Beans, Corn, Rolls, enough brownies, cake, chocolate and jelly beans to keep a battalion of 2nd graders on a sugar high for a week. Enjoyed a wonderful meal with family and friends. It's been a blessed Easter! Hoping all of you have experienced the same.

July 27, 201412 yr Son just returned after 5 weeks at GSP. Going to attempt one of his favorites---Lasagne. Pulled out my mom's old recipe card--which got me all verklempt. Heading to Kroger to get ingredients. Rainy day project. Hope it turns out.

July 27, 201412 yr Made my "go to". Spaghetti with a "sauce" of garlic, green onions, diced tomatoes sauteed in olive oil and finished with fresh basil. Everything was garden fresh from a plethora of fresh veggies my mom came into. Tonight will be grilled pork chops with rattatoulie (sp?) made with more fresh veggies my mom shared. Trying to decide on the rest...maybe fresh corn on the cob. Definitely making a lemon cake with lemon cream cheese frosting.

I smoked four large chickens "low and slow" using apple wood chips. I have always loved good chicken salad and pecans and grapes are my favorite add-ins.

I have always loved good chicken salad and pecans and grapes are my favorite add-ins. I think the grapes and pecans will complement the apple wood flavor in a fantastic way. You have to report back on the results. I could imagine walnuts being a too complement as well.
