Is this the interview people are referring to?

Jameis Winston: Post BCS Title Game Interview With Tom Rinaldi Was?Interesting | The Big Lead

What was the issue?

Maybe some people are complaining about that one. I see nothing wrong there. There was an interview I saw where he made some comment about the team got on his back on that last drive and that came across bad IMO. It sounded like he thought it was all about him.

Very glad I recorded it on the DVR; definitely lived up to the billing. I'd put this one with Texas/USC and Ohio State/Miami. I expected it to be very close.

TD Kickoff return:

Anyone see the Auburn guy who was heading down the field in the lane that would have had a play on the returner go down like he was shot when he pulled a hammy? Did they show that on the main broadcast?

Yes, they highlighted that on the main broadcast. I think it was after that they pointed out that even worse than that was a guy further right (#33) who lost lane integrity and came inside. Between the two of them, there was no one out there to stop the runner.

The guy who was going to block the one who pulled his hamstring ended up sticking with him anyway, so there was a guy at least assigned to block him and he didn't bear on the rest of the play. I think #33 was the more important one. They also pointed out that the kicker took an awful angle.

Lots of people probably take bad angles on that type of speed.

For FSU to lose most of its assistants before the season then go undefeated and dominate is crazy... Not sure what to make of it.

Minus the kickoff return for a TD Auburn had made Florida State fight for every inch of yardage that they got all night. Then when it's most important, with only 1:14 left in the game, their defense completely collapses and they give up the winning touchdown. No exuses there.

But.......Auburn darn sure didn't get blown out like many on here were predicting. FSU is very fortunate to survive this match. Auburn represented the SEC very well.

And on another note, I'd really like to see Florida State as a member of the SEC. They would fit in really well.

Florida State excels at so many sports that the SEC would get a tremendous boost as a conference adding them.

The brilliant analyst Tim Tebow missed his prediction by a point. Nice start.

Looks like he can pick games better than he can throw a football.

That may have been the easiest kickoff return for a TD in football history. Again, bad football and injury led to the play being made. With respect to the guy getting out of his lane, it is possible he was maybe crossing intentionally and the guy who pulled up lame was supposed to cross but he obviously went down. Teams will sometimes cross players downfield to confuse blocking schemes.

Looks like he can pick games better than he can throw a football.

Wonder if he set aside his morals to place a nice wager on AU. He's going to need the income.
