Collins wanted it and HHS seemed flat at times. Congrats Collins on a great win. Ukfan, we win with class and we will lose with class. Nothing you can say to take that away. I think I was bad luck for HHS and NCC. Lost composure at the end with that unsportsmanlike penalty. I'll take watching our team lose at state any day over not getting there EVER! One think that can never ever be changed is in 2013 Simon Kenton with their weak schedule beat Collins and Highlands did not!

What is the rule on losing a helmet and calling a timeout? I was thinking if you called a timeout the player could stay in for the next play.

 

The rule is....If you lose your headgear on a play you must sit out the next play.

Some people think that teams like HHS and Trinity just automatically win championships because of Lord knows what. WRONG! You have to earn championships. They are not given to you. Neither the Birds nor the Rocks earned one this year. Congrats to Collins for earning one.

Not from annual beatdowns but from posters like you who are quick to attack anyone that has something to say about Highlands that you preceive as an attack. Like I said in another thread, you Highlands fans sure have thin skin.

Birds will be treated like the State Champs when they come home so all you Grinches can come out and watch the Spirit of this community. It will be better than Whoville.

There's where you're wrong. Kids will get a week off and be back in the gym. There is no "offseason" at HHS. They train everyday like it's the regular season.

I feel sorry for some folks in here who are taking this much pleasure in Highlands losing.

The starting qb and backup qb are the grandsons of Tom becherr who was the HC at Shelby co for a long run. 20 years ago he lost to Male. Congrats to him. He was also the HC when Shelby beat Boone in 87.

If the purpose of the rule is to make sure the player gets his helmet securely positioned on his head before the next play, then I don't know why a time-out would serve that pirpose. Actually, there would more time during a time-out than during a one play. I am just surmising about the purpose of the rule, though.
