As far as what you said last year, it was the snobiness and arrogance in which you said it shortly after we lost in the state championship game, you know, kick a man when he's down that stuck in my crawl. It is pure arrogance to not only think it but to actually come out and tell someone their team would of won if they would of played your team. Now maybe you will know what it is like to see your team come so close and to lose. Not so great is it? Especially when you have some clueless person tell you right afterwoards thhat his team is so superior to everything under the sun that if we would of only played them we would of won state.

 

The better team won today, Collins was clearly the best team on that field today. Congrats to Collins on a well deserved Championship.

I called Collins 31 to 27 and gave my reasons and for the most part they came to fruition, but, it got laughed off in the next 2-3 responses.

I feel sorry for some folks in here who are taking this much pleasure in Highlands losing.

The arrogance of the running clock comments. The 4/5th grade girls basketball would be more exciting comment. Dale saying you he looked at the film and was like " oh their good" or something along those lines. You don't need to feel sorry for anyone.

I don't think anyone was saying anything about Harris hurting HHS today. He played great. What hurt HHS was the inability to stop the pass. It was the weak link all season and had been talked about a lot this season. HHS offense was as good as it's been all year today. They scored when they needed to and came back to take the lead when down 9 late in the game.

 

Harris played great I thought.

 

The guy in the post I responded to made a comment that Harris didn't impress him tonight after Dale said he was the best in the state. Just letting him know that Harris was not Harris tonight. He played as good as he could. Just limited. I absolutely love the kid. I would never say that about him. He has become one of my favorite HHS players ever.

Actually you are very wrong.

 

I was rooting for HHS to win, I thought the streak was incredible and wanted it to keep going. I feel bad for the kids because I know how much and how hard they worked etc. It's SOME of the fans however that have said some very egotistical things to others and other teams that some of us are simply enjoying what goes around comes around and hopefully those fans who continually looked down on all other teams in the area will finally understand that is is much better to bbe humble than cocky because you never know when you may be eating your words.

If I've learned anything debating with you it is that you tend to exaggerate and not always tell all the facts when saying things. So I'll believe you, but I don't put a lot of stock into it.

 

You are right on one thing though, Collins was the better team today. It happens occasionally.

YEa, I'm with you there. I thought Harris had been so gritty and always loved watching him play.

 

Don't get me wrong, I really was rooting for HHS because of the kids. My boy's gf's cousin starts for HHS. Been pulling for them all year and wanted their state streak to conitnue for years to come. I love records like that.

They are not brothers. The starting qb is becherer's daugther's son and the backup is becherer's son's son. He came off the bench cold

I don't know. I was just going off what the announcers on the stream were saying. Made it sound like he just came off the bench for that play.

He didn't look hurt during the game?

 

He is. He's been hurt for awhile. I'm sure that's why they didn't run him much in the first half. He is a huge part of their offense with runs, screens and swing passes. He only touched the ball 8 times in the first half and almost all of those were on their goal line package. He is a tough kid. He will not let you know he is hurt. We knew it. And I would see him working out with the trainers almost everyday trying to get his strength back. You just have to trust me on this one.
