Not a HHS fan at all, as most on this board realize but honestly, when SK wins their 1st Football State Championship game, then you can call HHS and their fans out, but until SK does, you might be a bit nicer directly after a tough loss in the Championship Game, or did you forget SK loss a couple of years ago to "T"! Was it 50 to 0 or was it 48 to 0 not sure which one but it wasn't close at all!

 

Congrats to both Collins and HHS. Collins for winning the Title and for HHS for making it to the Championship Game!

 

This is what class looks like folks.

Maybe Highlands playing Cooper this year would have helped them..........and maybe not. It did not help NCC who could not stop the pass against Cooper and still could not stop the pass today. Maybe it would have helped Highlands maybe not.

 

Highlands plays as tough of a schedule as they probably can. Outside of adding Trinity and St.X there are not many dance partners that are going to help them get better and are willing. Ohio teams only want to play you if they can win, NKY 6A teams really don't help Highlands prepare for anything because they can't match Highlands depth. Heck their schedule has worked pretty well for them in the past.

Not as big as the loser hole Highlands fell in.

A few odd post this week leading up the one of the biggest upsets in history. People questioning if Highlands fans are bored with their success. Highlands seemed a lil lack lustered after the Elder loss (could no longer be perfect), then tonight just got flat out beat. Will this only make Highlands more driven next season, or did it put a large hole in one of the sails?

First, I didn't day you lied. I said you don't always have all the facts or take things out of content. I'm sure I just didn't say, "If Cooper would have played HHS, they would have won". I'm sure it was someting like "I don't understand why these teams don't schedule HHS and Cov Cath to perpare themselves better for these types of games". Which I stand behind and say it all the time! I was rooting my tail off for Cooper last year. I thought is was a great story. If I wasn't and HHS fan, I'd still feel and say the exact same thing! If NKY wants to get over the top, they need to play schedules that get them there. Period! Whether HHS just lost this game or not, the 5 and 6 A schools have two very good programs right in their back yard to challenge and benchmark their teams against and they don't use them. I think it's silly. You can say Cooper last year or SK this year could or would beat them all you want. I could care less. It's about getting all of NKY football back on the uptick. Others will keep coming up short until it happens. And I've said many time, I don't care if it's HHS. Just challenge yourself with SOMEBODY! And more than just one.

I agree...how do you not play one of the top teams in the state year in and year out and they are in your backyard.... Cooper, Dixie, Ryle, Simon and Conner should be knocking down the door to play Highlands that is if your serious about getting better. Its not arrogance me saying this it makes sense. I am a big fan of all NKY teams when it comes to making it down state. Playing really good teams makes good teams better. Am i wrong?

Congrats to Collins. The boys will have a memory for a lifetime they will never forget. Congrats to HHS on an incredible run, and they will be back.

 

I thought, as a whole, that NKY football was very down as compared to most years. When HHS was giving up huge points and yards in some games this year, then I thought this might be the year they lose. But, I honestly figured they would still win by 7-10 points even if they were weaker than normal. It's just hard to beat them.

 

I know it's always a debate that HHS fans say is a strength of theirs, but, with HHS defense being weaker than usual, do you think they had players on offense that could of played defense as well to help them improve their defense? I don't know their players that well but I would think 3-4 stud offensive players would be better than the 3-4 bottom defenders.
