I think I've only seen 1 or 2 HHS fans actually humbly congratulate Collins in this thread. That should tell you something. The rest have chosen to ignore Collins for the most part and continue to preach about how great Highlands is.

Just asked a simple question. According to your post you know what every team does and have even said Highlands is smarter than everyone else.

 

The first thing that comes to mind a after hearing things line that is ..., why did they lose then?

 

Did you read all of my original post? The new rules allow for sport specific training in the off season. This will help teams close the gap, which is what just happened. Football coaches, for the most part, know football drills, so they were not very good at coming up with other ways to train in the off season other than lifting and running. If I over generalized by saying everyone else that was not my intent.

 

Just two years ago you could not use a football in the "off season," now you able to use a football to practice routes, qb training, db drills, etc....

In the end, todays game is all that matters, they made their place in the record books and justifiably so by playing an awesome game. Just my two cents worth.

Right now it feels like the night Kentucky played Duke 94' or the Bengals vs. 49'rs in 89'.

Congrats to Collins on the big win. It sounded like it was quite a game.

 

Congrats to Highlands, and especially the Highlands seniors, for an exciting season. It didn't end the way the Highlands players, coaches and fans wanted, but there is a lot to be proud of now that it's all said and done. The highlight of the football season for me was getting to watch Highlands play live on national TV here in Raleigh!

 

Win or lose, Highlands fans love their players and the great coaches who lead them.

That is one of those games I don't think the cold would bother anyone in the stands. Like the freezer bowl, just too good of a game to think about the cold. Wish I was there. If it were a college game it would become an instant classic in ESPN.
