My wife's Brown Sugar Pie.

 

Where did she get the recipe? My grandmothers brown sugar pie recipe has been a family favorite, and so easy to make.

 

My favorite is my cornbread dressing. As stated above, it has to come from inside the turkey....just tastes better.

I have never ever made a pie. Looked online for this one and it does look like something even I could make. Especially when the recipe calls for one of those Pre-made crusts! :lol2:

Sounds like my grandmothers recipe. I had it published in the LH several, several years ago. Thought she may have gotten it there.

I love 'em. Raw on the half shell with a drop of hot sauce, fried with a side of tartar sauce, oyster dressing, you name it. We may have a mess of fried oysters along with the rest of the trimmings!

My grandma's sweet potato casserole was, to quote Guy Fieri, "Off the hook!" It was more like a dessert than a side dish. Glad the recipe is still in the family. My mom makes some really good cranberry relish, though. Makes it with a hand grinder.
