gold sunrise
My wife's Brown Sugar Pie. Where did she get the recipe? My grandmothers brown sugar pie recipe has been a family favorite, and so easy to make. My favorite is my cornbread dressing. As stated above, it has to come from inside the turkey....just tastes better.

Randy Parker
Where did she get the recipe? My grandmothers brown sugar pie recipe has been a family favorite, and so easy to make. The recipe that she uses most often came from my late grandmother. When I was a kid, her Brown Sugar Pie was my favorite. So rich, but so delicious. hoops5
Where did she get the recipe? My grandmothers brown sugar pie recipe has been a family favorite, and so easy to make. I have never ever made a pie. Looked online for this one and it does look like something even I could make. Especially when the recipe calls for one of those Pre-made crusts! :lol2:

So rich, but so delicious. Sounds like my grandmothers recipe. I had it published in the LH several, several years ago. Thought she may have gotten it there. MentschTrachtGottLacht
...... Sweet potatoes baked with marshmallows on top. Side-note: I LOATHE oyster dressing and had no idea people actually liked it. More strange, I love raw oysters but hate them cooked.
mcpapa
...... Sweet potatoes baked with marshmallows on top. Side-note: I LOATHE oyster dressing and had no idea people actually liked it. More strange, I love raw oysters but hate them cooked. I love 'em. Raw on the half shell with a drop of hot sauce, fried with a side of tartar sauce, oyster dressing, you name it. We may have a mess of fried oysters along with the rest of the trimmings!

Colonels_Wear_Blue
My grandma's sweet potato casserole was, to quote Guy Fieri, "Off the hook!" It was more like a dessert than a side dish. Glad the recipe is still in the family. My mom makes some really good cranberry relish, though. Makes it with a hand grinder.
