November 25, 201312 yr 63. Sometimes we'll bump it up to 65. 63...man how do you sleep from midnight to 6, that is cold!!!!!
November 25, 201312 yr 70 or 71. Duel fuel heat pump / gas. Though I have external thermostat I manually kick to EMER if temps stay in 20s to stay on gas. The stats are not working well at times. Heat pumps can keep up down to 20s but run forever. I put radiant barrier in atic. Seems to help.

November 25, 201312 yr 65 during the day. Evening hours we kick it up to 67-68. I can't imagine putting the thermostat on 59/60 as some do. Do you guys have hardwood floors? We do and it sucks getting out of bed with it being frigid. "Oh, well we put on sweatshirts, sweatpants, gloves, and socks to stay warm." Yeah, if I wanted to bundle up like a homeless person I would become one. I hate wearing full attire to sleep every night. We opt to go non-Amish style and pay the extra $15 a month to live in a somewhat bearable environment
November 25, 201312 yr 63...man how do you sleep from midnight to 6, that is cold!!!!! It really isn't that bad. It's 63 in here right now, and I'm comfortable with pants and a long sleeve shirt on. A friend of ours a street over has the same floor plan as we do, and 63 in their house feels completely different than 63 is our house. It's weird as we've had conversations about it before. The 2 main differences are the positioning of the houses (they face south/southeast, and we face west/southwest), and I upgraded insulation when I built our house.
November 25, 201312 yr Have it set at 65-67. If it were up to me, I would set it about 55, and never move it. I love being cold. Even with it set at 65, I blast the ceiling fan full bore while I'm sleeping. If it weren't for the fear of the pipes freezing, and disaster ensuing, I'd never turn on the heat.
