December 19, 201312 yr 74 and It costs, but I am warm. 72 -73 73.. I'm finishing my basement, and I've had the drywallers out all week. As a result, I've jacked up my thermostat to anywhere between 72 and 74 to help dry the mud each night. I have every vent in the house closed except those in the basement, and it's uncomfortable unless you lay around in shorts and t-shirt all day. However, that just makes going out in the cold that much worse. I've had to crack the window and turn on the ceiling fan the past couple nights. I don't know how you guys do it daily.
