I have a feeling this weeks Mercer vs LC pre game thread is going to be a good one.

 

 

If there is one. Boyle fans never started one for their game. Guess we will see if LC respects Mercer. They can get taught a lesson like the Rebels did tonight.

I'm gone. I'm going out to celebrate. I'll be back tomorrow in the basketball forum to find the Boyle fans.

Hats off to Mercer County they where the better team tonight. No excuses, they wanted it more and it showed! Feel bad for Boyle's kicker, he was really tore up after the game. He had a big time 40+ yard field goal as time expired in the first half to get Boyle on the board at 10-3. Good luck next week against Catholic.

Titans had some young guys out there on defense. The final score was not a surprise if you saw the regular season game against Boyle

Hats off to Mercer County. I am actually kind of proud of them as NOONE gave them a chance this week except for two of my diehard buddies who believed hard. I know more kids on Mercer's team than Boyle's but I am still a Rebel through and through but I am not mad about this loss. Learning experience for a young team that returns quite a few players. I couldn't be happier for Goodman as he is a great kid who took my words to heart when I said he wouldn't be able to handle the Boyle defense in game one. I was wrong, Chris. You shined like a star. I'm extremely proud of you and I love you. (Elkins will still dunk on you though:D).

 

Good luck going forward Mercer County. I'll be pulling for you guys the rest of the way.

 

And congrats to you Starks. I don't know why but I got nothing but love for you. You crack me up. Make that thread entertaining next week. See you in the basketball forum.

I do remember seeing a post two seasons back saying not to be shocked if Mercer tops the Rebels in a big game eventually. I forgot who posted it, but whoever it was had a lot of information in the post when it was done at that time. Fair to say whoever it was had good intuition.

To his credit, PP has said things like what you mention. I don't think there are too many people in this area shocked by the outcome of tonight's game. We all saw it coming.
