Voice of Reason Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Total joke that he didn't win it last year.
CincySportsFan Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 ...as well he should. They got it right. Best 2B on the planet. 2013 National League Gold Glove Winners - ESPN Well deserved. No brainer Total joke that he didn't win it last year. This. This. This. And This.
nkuclubbaseball19 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Total joke that he didn't win it last year. Darwin Barney was pretty darn good last year...
spindoc Posted October 30, 2013 Author Posted October 30, 2013 Darwin Barney was pretty darn good last year... Not in the same stratosphere as BP. Not close.
MJAlltheWay24 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Glad that BP got the recognition that he deserves.
nkuclubbaseball19 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Not in the same stratosphere as BP. Not close. 2012 Phillips: 637 TC, 241 PO, 391 A, 5 E, 73 DP, .992 FPCT, 4.33 RF Barney: 731 TC, 311 PO, 418 A, 2 E, 96 DP, .997 FPCT, 4.70 RF So Barney had 94 more total chances, 70 more putouts, 27 more assists, 3 less errors, turned 23 more double plays, had a higher fielding percentage and a higher range factor. I'd say he's in the same stratosphere.
woodsrider Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Even as a Cardinal fan I agree Forget that, BP sucks.

UKMustangFan Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 I know most on here discredit stats and sabremetrics every chance they get, but they point to this being a bad decision.
SSC Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 2012 Phillips: 637 TC, 241 PO, 391 A, 5 E, 73 DP, .992 FPCT, 4.33 RF Barney: 731 TC, 311 PO, 418 A, 2 E, 96 DP, .997 FPCT, 4.70 RF So Barney had 94 more total chances, 70 more putouts, 27 more assists, 3 less errors, turned 23 more double plays, had a higher fielding percentage and a higher range factor. Anything that says anyone else gets to more balls has to be wrong. Sorry.
