I can't confirm Jennings living there but I have first hand, meaning my eyeballs knowledge of one or two Fairview players living on Navaho Trail. My sister lives on that street and several Fairview "parties" were goig o there on several different occasions with what looked like an entire team on the lawn, street, etc. At that time period (when Jennings played) I believe that a couple of Russell kids had transferred to Fairview and lived there.

 

I never laid eyes upon Chris Jennings and wouldn't recognize him if he walked into my living room but I can promise you that Music said in writting that he was his landlord. The same email where he used the term "Afro American" over and over. Guy is a real winner.

Here's something that you need to understand/know. The email/letter mentioned by Spindoc was a reaction to a complaint against Fairview. The complaint was orgionally sent to Marvin Moore the Super who was/is the Super at Rowan and the 16th region rep for the KHSAA. Mr. Moore thought the appropriate action would be to forward the email to Music because as Mr. Moore said "he needed to know if someone was complaining about his school". Does that seem appropriate to anyone else?

 

My guess is that Music and other at Fairview felt like they were above the law.

 

If another Supt. forwarded a letter of complaint about another Supt, it would not be out of the ordinary to give a heads up. Especially, if it was by email. Now, I don't know the specifics, but that doesn't seem to be that egregious, if at all. Certinly not illegal.

I wish if this stuff is true, and where there's smoke there's bound to be fire, that the coach and superintendent and anyone else involved and knew what was going on is barred from ever coaching again and the superintendent and anyone else loses their jobs.

 

I am not sure but from what is being told localy, Coach N. McPeek has resigned, Principal G. McPeek offered move to another location/job in district, Superintendent...gone, retired, resigned....?? Those are some things that will probably come out later. Not sure

It wasn't a complaint about Music as the Supt but a complaint to a KHSAA board member about the goings on at Fairview with specific examples of wrongdoing. Facts that are starting to come out now. Music probably felt, and rightfully so, that his buddy would cover for him.

School board meeting on Monday. I suspect all involved will tender their resignations or be fired.

While that wouldn't be surprising, wouldn't there be some kind of breaking news thing online about this?

Here is the kicker with that, this was so blatant that you are in one of two categories: you either were an active participant or you condoned the actions, there is no I didnt know, when you have double digit athletes from out of state repeatedly you knew. I realize that the straw that broke the camels back wasnt about transfers it was something else, but everything else is related to the influx of athletes and the arrogance when it came to the rules applying. The people that want to claim to be a victim stood by and let this happen. They trusted at least one man who had proven over and over that he couldnt be trusted.

Anyway, to use kids as "pawns" to win football games and to make adults look like winners....sickening.

In the Ashland paper at the beginning of the year there was a quote that 42% of Fairview students were out of district. It was in defense of the high number of out of district kids on the football team. I hope those that want to continue to support the firm of McPeek, McPeek, and Musik realize that if those kids alone transfer to their district school due to poor academics or football fiasco that Fairview will soon cease to be a school.

I just got to thinking about when some of these , then allegations, were first talked about on post here that several Fairview fans on bgp were blasting myself, Ram and others claiming "sour grapes" . Throwing it all aside as not true. There was one poster that stated that they lived in Westwood, was one of several parents, tax payers to the Fairview school system tat were fed up with what all was going on in their community/school and their own getting pushed aside. Fairview fans on here blasted that person so bad that they left BGP. I guess that the "crazy", "know nothing" people were right.

If I were a parent of a kid in the Fairview schools then if all possible, I would move out of district to keep from paying the school tax raise that was voted in a few years ago. That's just me though.

You know I have heard several times that people feel sorry for the innocent people, and I'm sure there are one or two, but to be honest I don't feel sorry for anyone. If they were innocent or caught up in something this bad and didn't like it why didn't they report it? It didn't seem that anyone was upset when terrible things were said to fans of other teams, no one apologized for the behavior. It didn't seem that anyone felt bad when signs with distasteful things were hung at football games, some with just terrible things written on them. Or, how about all the terrible texts, instant messages, and Facebook comments that were sent to players from other schools by multiple players at Fairview. It didn't seem that any fans were upset to win games by breaking rules, in fact, some even boasted about it.

 

And, when some said wrong things were being done, it didn't seem that anyone was innocent in berating them and acting as if the person making the accusations was wrong and had ulterior motives for making the correct claim.

 

The only people that I feel sorry for are the players from the other schools that had to endure these acts.

 

I am with Ram on this. If it was that blatant in a small school, there is no way it wasn't common knowledge and that makes everyone an accomplice IMO. The only way I call someone at Fairview innocent is if they had no idea these things were happening. I don't think that is possible.

 

Not even the other players? I would call them innocent. Even if their parents knew. Kids dont' have the luxury of speaking out. That's why we protect them.

Yup, they used to have a "fight club" party once a week. Kids would fight each other, the kids winner would get a shot against one of the adults that were there. One of the adults that were involved had a pro boxing career. Fought Evander Hollyfield once.

couple questions --- Is one of the assist's that spent time at Portsmouth Notre Dame and Coal Grove still on staff at FV ?

If the coach's resign will it be end of year or immediate ? If the superintendent is crooked or in the pocket so to speak of the current group of coachs then who will be in a position of power to remove the staff immediately ? Does it seem possible that the current staff finish's out the year ? How long before the rats start jumping the sinking ship ? Lastly SHAME SHAME SHAME , Dishonor and MORE SHAME on the current staff . Made a mockery out of high school athletics .
