Good question. I am repeating this without absolute confirmation but I was told by a source that IF Fairview accepts the penalties imposed without appeal, it will only be football. If they fight it, they (KHSAA) are willing to shut down all athletics at Fairview.

 

Actually, that is probably exactly what the school deserves. Especially football. I think that surely after all that is out and if what else that I know comes out, they will be happy to take that deal...yes, there is more

To my knowledge, he was living with a family on Navajo Trail, along with another Fairview player at the time. I knew the family, they moved out of the area a few years ago. There is a long story behind how he ended up there, I knew then that Fairview would eventually end up in trouble over it all.

The family I am referring to started an oinusrance agency in Ohio and live there now. I dont know if it is true but the agent here said they were in good hands.

 

Same family, they are just outside of Columbus now. He was probably in better hands than he was with his own parents, but there were some issues. Chris was a good kid though, so ill leave it at that.

I wish if this stuff is true, and where there's smoke there's bound to be fire, that the coach and superintendent and anyone else involved and knew what was going on is barred from ever coaching again and the superintendent and anyone else loses their jobs.

I believe you, but the house I am referring to was not rental property, by any means. I know that he did stay there, though I do not know whether it was his listed address at the time.. If it was, I doubt Navajo Trail falls within fairviews district.

Much to quickslick's chagrin, I can't confirm the address they put on a transfer form, however, everyone with a pulse and brain activity in EKY knows it was the housing owned by the superintendent.

 

Absolutely, and if something I was told was correct and I am 99.99999 % it is - the rent / utilities for that housing (when some of the out/state players were staying there a couple of years ago) was "surprisingly inexpensive", lets just say that.

I can't confirm Jennings living there but I have first hand, meaning my eyeballs knowledge of one or two Fairview players living on Navaho Trail. My sister lives on that street and several Fairview "parties" were goig o there on several different occasions with what looked like an entire team on the lawn, street, etc. At that time period (when Jennings played) I believe that a couple of Russell kids had transferred to Fairview and lived there.

Here's something that you need to understand/know. The email/letter mentioned by Spindoc was a reaction to a complaint against Fairview. The complaint was orgionally sent to Marvin Moore the Super who was/is the Super at Rowan and the 16th region rep for the KHSAA. Mr. Moore thought the appropriate action would be to forward the email to Music because as Mr. Moore said "he needed to know if someone was complaining about his school". Does that seem appropriate to anyone else?

Should you be talking about the Ramey Home for boys then I believe that you are right, they could attend Fairview or Rose Hill, Boyd Co. from there.

Kinda makes Rex Cooksey the former AD look like a saint.
