SK will be #1 next week!

SK will be #1 next week!

Uh NO

Even if Highlands were to lose to Elder, which is not a given. Coaches know that Elder is head and shoulders above anyone SK has played this year.

Better question is what 2 coaches besides Marksberry voted for Simon Kenton? I agree that Highlands is number 1 no matter what they do against Elder. Going to be real interested to see how far Simon Kenton advances this year with Trinity and St. X obviously being down a little.

Is the the first time South Oldham has been included in the poll? I think they should be ranked above Conner and Scott.

Also, regardless of the win loss records, I don't believe Lloyd would beat Ryle or Cooper if they played.

Ok, but how is Campbell Co. ranked ahead of Conner? Didn't they lose to Conner? That is one weird poll.

I agree with both of you. Being a Cooper fan, I have no problem with them not being in the top 10, they did nothing to help themselves since week 4 on, but there are some that make you scratch your head such as Campbell Co, S Oldham who won their district being lower than 2 teams in their district they beat. It is a very odd poll.

South Oldham is probably left off a few ballots which lowers their position.

I see 3 first place for Simon and don't even look any farther.

So Simon's one score win over #5 Dixie makes three coaches think they are the best team in N Ky, while HHS has 2 running clock wins over the teams ranked #3 and #4.

Come on coaches - your supposed to know a little about football.

Shouldn't SK's JV be #3. They are undefeated and shouldn't Ryle's freshmen be ahead of their varsity? Just ruffling feathers. My Top 10 excluding South Oldham.

I think that looks about right. Highlands is a good bit above SK in my opinion. SK isn't head and shoulders above everyone else but they've beat 5 of those other top 10 some of them more convincingly than others but it's not like you can just say SK beats any of those teams handily every time, anything could happen. See Conner and Dixie for examples. Cov Cath hasn't lost to anyone but Moeller(who wouldn't) and Highlands. From there on it's a toss up because all of those teams have a loss from someone else on the list.

This is the poll according to The Muffin Man

Maybe the votes for SK are an anti-HHS segment voicing a hope that someone may finally surpass the mighty Birds.

Who thinks that 2 of the 3 votes go back to Highlands if (when) the 'Birds beat Elder?
