My concern for the Colonels is their limited ability to pass. Scoring is going to be challenge for them IMO.

 

D is going to have to play their best game in order for the Colonels to stay in it.

 

Teams have been scoring on Highlands. It is not the red dog defense like it used to be.

Offense will have its way with Cov. Cath. The defense will get scored on. I say 56-28 Birds.

I was just getting ready to say that the margins of the Highlands victories the last 2 weeks coupled with the Cov Cath injury situation may quiet the bravato of both teams fans - then I read wackem and Q.

Can the Birds fly into Park Hills and get a win? Is the CovCath defense able to slow down the Highlands offense? Lets hear it!! :ylsuper:

 

The bottom line is that the defense needs to play better. Giving up way to many yards and points for arguably the most talented team in a long time. The bend dont break defense needs to get better. Now I am not jumping ship by no means. Im sure JH and PT are solid teams but if you look at both those games on paper HHS margin of victory should have been bigger. I understand they were on the road and the travel and all that good stuff but if the Cov- Cath game is 28-25 in the fourth pressure will be big time on HHS I believe and they may not pull it out. Before everybody starts jumping on me let me tell you that i am a HHS fan and followed them pretty close for a while now but over the last 7 years this team seams to be more suspect to lose to CCH than any of them. Now with the players being out for Cov-Cath I dont think they will overcome that this time but if they were healthy I think this team would be ripe for the picking. Go birds!

Well thought out response and I agree. This CCH offense still has plenty of question marks- we'll see how they and the coaching staff puts together a game plan to help out the young skill players coupled with ways to get the experienced skill players more touches.

 

The defense is stout. They will do their part I am certain. Will it be enough? I honestly don't think so in this contest. Having said that, I'm assuming these teams will meet again in the playoffs and CCH should have those injured players back- then things will be much more even.

The interesting part is you left out who wins.

The Birds are visiting the Colonels and you can forget everything else...The amusing part is that the fans from other schools will enjoy a CCH upset more than the CCH fans. The difference: CCH folks have been there before, have had tons of success athletically in several sports and know how to win.

 

Love going to Wooten Field to experience this game. I am a Highlands grad, but am good friends with several Colonels. Let the smack talk begin. Lol

 

Hope both teams can get 100% healthy for the playoff game.

Don't see CCH having enough offense to keep Highlands offense off the field enough to make this a competitive game. Maybe in November.
