I've never had an iPhone with a good battery life. I keep chargers on standby. Home, car and work. I always have one ready to charge within a 20 yard radius.

 

My iPhone (for work) has better battery life than my Galaxy S3 (personal). While I like both phones, everything about the iPhone is slicker and easier to use than any android phone I've ever had.

Loved the 928. Camera is flat out amazing. I tried it about a month back. If Windows operating system was up to par with Android I would roll with the 928.

 

Haven't found anything my old android did that my 928 can't and I can sync up with my Office 365 on my 928 easier.

 

I know of some minor sound issues with the 928, but I don't use my phone as a boom box, and though there are 1,000,000 apps available for the iPhone and androids, I've found 999,990 of them practically useless or redundant.

 

Having said that, I'm already working on my first Windows phone app.

My current HUGE pet peeve with Apple. The new chargers suck. I got my 5 the day it came out and I am literally on charges 9 and 10 (and just threw one away that when replaced will make 11). The damn things are finicky and give out super easy.

I've had my iPhone 5 for around a year and have never had to replace a charger, other then the one I lost. Tha said I charge mine the most at work using an old iPod charger with the lighting adapter.

I hear ya but I could get through an 8 hour workday with my 4s. Apple likes slim and sleek not always great for battery life.

No way is it 60-40 android. Maybe 60-40 Apple.

A key term there though is global. No, iPhones do not have a large share overseas. Here they still do quite, quite well.

If you look at that chart, of course you'll see that the iPhone gets rocked elsewhere. Here, it's close to the 60/40 split GrizzlyAdams mentioned - actually around 60/35 in favor of Android.

The point I made earlier is that the iOS operating system is spread out over mostly 3 phones - the iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, and iPhone 4. You'll still encounter the odd one from earlier, but they're not very widespread. This is in contrast to Android which is spread out over many, many models of phones. And within that, many of those phones run many different "flavors" of Android. The larger amount of models is why you have a higher market share for Android.

 

Put another way, here in the US if you were to have a room full of smartphone owners, the majority would have Android phones. But there would be more iPhone owners than any particular model of Android phone.

I'm gonna dig around today at work. I'm curious of what % of 21 old and younger have an iPhone. I'm betting that about 80% of those under the age of 21 have an iPhone. Like a said in a post in a different thread. Its the hip phone to have.
