It was cool seeing how electrifying the park was with Hamilton on first. There were only 20,000 people in the park but they sure were rocking when he stole that base. Fun night at the park and got I was there for it.

Cards are due for an offensive outburst. And Arroyo gets the ball in game three of the series. He's not fared well against St. Louis.

Latos has had a stud year. Too many no-decisions or Ls when he pitched really well. He could be in the Cy Young talk if you could get people to look past W/Ls.

 

Self-servingly, I posted his numbers next to Homer's to show that while Latos is #1 Homer isn't as far behind as some assume. Homer's "bad games" are what sways opinions despite the fact that his total body of work is impressive.

Won't surprise me to see Dusty shift him up into the #4 hole pretty soon. Last night was an example of what he tries to avoid, with a left-handed reliever in the game and the top of your lineup up. Fortunately for the Reds last night, they already had the lead by then.

Agreed. He wasn't hitting 103. He was cruising at 103. Pretty sure the 102 was a two seam grip.

I wonder on a perfect night like last night just how hard he could throw? Like you said he was cruising at 103 with control of it, 105 is his record but what could he hit? Any urban legends from bullpen sessions of higher speeds being recorded?

That was one of the better games of regular season baseball I've seen in awhile. Bailey was so dominant. He had better stuff last night than he did against SF.
