Some people may forget about Jeff Trame, great basketball coach at Scott. Was very knowledgable.

Rodney Woods and Jon Jones are $$$$!

Mike Szabo of Trinity has been putting togeher some very good teams the last 4-5 years, including a state championship. If he continues this trend, he'd have to be in the conversation. It's tough to get recognition with Ballard in your region.

Billy Hicks from Scott County. Put the rest in a bucket and draw their names!

I'd take Steve Adams from Boyle County over all of them.

PP that is the craziest claim you've made yet. I still don't know how he won area coach of the year over Britt. Mercer had a better record, beat Boyle head to head, and advanced farther in the region.

I am admittedly biased because Brian is one of my good friends but Adams isn't top 3 in his own region.

I'll rank Britt, Woods, and Damon Kelley ahead of Adams.

Steiner Simon Kenton and Chevalier Dixie. Up and coming coach Mcfarland at Ryle.

Steve Wright at Southwestern is a very good head coach, as well.

That's not a claim. I never said he was the best. I said that's who I would take.

Last year was the first time Brian beat Steve if I am not mistaken. It was also the first time Brian went to region. How many times has Steve gone since he took over? That's right. 3 out of 5 years. I'll take Steve everyday, all day.

Dan McQueary at Boone County

Brian's first year, Boyle refused to make up a game that was snowed out and Mercer advanced to the region semifinals and was upset by Southwestern the year before Steve Wright arrived. That was Clay Cinnamon's senior year. So, Brian has gone 2 out of 3 years and won a game at region both years.

I'm looking forward to this season in the 12th. Should be highly competitive and any of about 6 teams could win it.

Bad info. It didn't work out logistically for the teams to make the game up. Boyle would have had to cancel games to play Mercer. Mercer didn't want to accommodate Boyle's wishes for a make up game and Boyle didn't want to accommodate Mercer's wishes. Mutual decision.

I forgot Cutcliffe was the coach when Boyle upset Mercer in their new gym in 2010 so Steve is 2-2 against Mercer and 1-2 against Brian. No worries. It'll be 2-2 after this season and Steve still has more region victories than Brian. Steve still hasn't been upset when making it to region as well. :D

And don't get me wrong. I'd be happy to have my kids play for Brian. Great guy and a great coach. If I lived in Mercer County I'd have no problem letting my kid play for him. I've had one kid play 4 years for Steve and another set to suit up for him in the near future. Having been a part of the program as a parent for Steve's tenure at Boyle County I can truly say there is no other program I would prefer to have my kids in. I'll always be extremely loyal to Steve and his program above all others.

The 12th should be a lot of fun this season.

It was Cundiff not Cutcliffe at Mercer, but yes Boyle came to Mercer and beat them on a Saturday afternoon make up game.

Steve Adams is a great coach and doing well at a tradional football school.

Brian Britt in my opinion is a great coach as well. Mercer County has been to the state tournament one time and that time was with the worst record in state tournament history if I am not mistaken. I feel confident in saying that Britt will take the Titans to Rupp Arena for the second time and it will be soon. Britt gets his players to play extremely hard and has the numbers back up in the program.
