No it's not. It does however bring up a curious question I wonder if anyone would like to tackle. How many of those types of transfers play football? I don't know the answer, but it is a curious question.

Just that, you named it. I never said on here that Highlands was doing anything against the rules. What I did find interesting though is that even though I never accused Highlands of doing any "wrongdoing" 75center became very defensive toward me as if I accused them of doing wrongdoing.

The whole transfer thing is widely over blown at Highlands. A kid going there as a Freshman from another middle school is not a transfer. As for the 90% of the other kids, there are reasons that the program is what it is.

People don't pay attention to, that I believe is fundamental, is the culture of the city of Ft. Thomas (this does not mean the arrogance, there is quite a bit of that.) People in Fort Thomas NEVER MOVE. They have generations that are ingrained in the city and have created what it presently is. This does 3 things.

A. Tradition - Not winning tradition. This is cultural tradition. The city is "slightly" cloistered in NKY. They aren't heavily influenced by the surrounding communities, so things that were emphasized 20 years ago, are consistently emphasized now (family, religion, civil service, and health.)

B. Active lifestyles - There are a ton of runners in Ft. Thomas. There are even more walkers. These same people bike ride with their children. They make their kids play outside. The city's different parks have events for kids all summer long, whether it be kick ball, wiffleball....whatever.

C. Genetics - This is going to sound like hot air, but since people in Fort Thomas NEVER LEAVE, you generally find the same kind of successful kids generation to generation. The star students or athletes move back and their genetic line produces another group of athletes. Look at the rosters from the 60's through today. You'll see a ton of the same families. Not to mention, people in Ft. Thomas are abnormally tall. There are a ton of tall people. Go to mass at St. Thomas. I'm 6'0"-6'1" and I am on the lower average side of height there. It is pretty weird in that respect.

So if I understand your post correctly, you are now claiming that the Ru and the mods don't fairly implement the rules here?

That is very true and I fully understand that. I grew up in Ft. Mitchell and it is the same way. Many generations never live outside the city limits. I love those type of communities.

We can hem and haw all we want about HHS football, but as my wife and I have often told each other, "If we had moved to NKY earlier in life (and I was THIS CLOSE due to a job offer from Northkey many years ago), our children would have gone to Highlands".
