August 1, 201313 yr Was just reading through the Tom Hanks thread (http://bluegrasspreps.com/bluegrasspreps-coms-break/3-favorite-tom-256711.html) & wanted to do the same with Denzel, one of my favorite actors. This list was a little tougher for me than Hanks, but I go with these three: #1- Remember The Titans #2- Crimson Tide #3- The Bone Collector * * Regarding The Bone Collector, Lincoln Rhyme (played by Denzel) is a favorite character of mine from Jeffery Deaver's book series. I thought Denzel's performance was outstanding. What does everyone else think?
August 1, 201313 yr I will have to think about it. Although his character was not my favorite, or his biggest role, I absolutely love the movie Glory and it will likely be on my list.
August 1, 201313 yr I always thought Denzil looked like Michael Jordan in Glory. 1. American Gangster 2. Glory 3. Remember the Titans
August 1, 201313 yr Strictly off the top of my head: 1. Remember the Titans 2. Philadelphia 3. Man on Fire May have to revise my list though as it's tough to leave He Got Game and Training Day out.
August 1, 201313 yr 1. Fallen 2. Man on Fire 3. John Q. He Got Game, The Bone Collector, Remember The Titans and Training Day all earn honorable mention status.
August 1, 201313 yr Remember the Titans Training Day Fallen Really like "Glory", "The Hurricane", "Flight" and "Man on Fire" as well. The only Denzel movie I can think of of the top of my head that I didn't like is Virtuosity.
August 1, 201313 yr 1. John Q. - hits close to home for me. 2. Man on Fire 3. Training Day This list is at first glance. It'll probably change about 10 different times. He's got way too many great movies to narrow it down.
August 1, 201313 yr Wow. Tough question. 1. Man on Fire. He was a bad dude in Man on Fire. 2. Philadelphia 3. Pelican Brief
August 1, 201313 yr Denzel plays the same character in every movie, or at least his acting is the same. But I will go with a movie because it's a personal favorite of mine (only because I was in the movie with him, albeit just an extra for 2 weeks, but got to know him a bit) That movie is Glory

He does play a similar character and demeanor every film. But I think that is typical for most actors.
