I know this isn't what you want to hear but it kind of mirrors what happened in the comics. Batman in the comics, while being a close ally and confidante of Superman, has a strong paranoia about what he's capable of doing. Batman and Superman didn't "hit it off" immediately. Also Superman harbors doubts about what his role should be. I'm looking forward to the movie and seeing these iconic characters being given the on screen treatment they deserve.

Yeah a buddy of mine made me aware that they are following the comic books properly. I still don't like it but at least they are following the storyline. I love making him mad by calling Superman a fraud. :lol2:

I don't read the comics anymore, so maybe they are following more recent reboots. Old time superman would never have killed Zod, would have found a way to not cause so much destruction and death in those battles. Supes needs to be squeaky-clean, that's part of the reason he and batman made for interesting stories. I am excited for this movie and hopeful that it will be awesome.

February 26, 201610 yr I'm not sure I've looked forward to going to see a movie as much as this one. Comes out on my birthday. Might be spending my birthday alone in a theater because my wife has zero interest in seeing this.

I also haven't read the comics in a long time but in the old days the only way Batman could have given Superman any kind of challenge would be that somehow his powers are weakened. Batman basically relied on his intelligence and gadgets. But Superman.... "Superman is faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, and able to leap tall buildings with a single bound. Superman has powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men. He can change the course of mighty rivers, bend steel in his bare hands, and fight the never ending battle for truth, justice, and the American way." Superman would kick Batman's butt all the way through the Bat Cave and out the other side.
February 27, 201610 yr Never count out Batman. He single handedly defeated a group of white Martians that had subdued the rest of the Justice League. All Batman needs is a little kryptonite.

I don't think anyone disagrees with any of that...but in the comics and probably in this movie Batman will use Kryptonite to even things out. Without some Krypto help as Superman tells Batman, "If I wanted you dead you'd be dead"
