I heard theres some really talented 5 and 6 year olds at the ACDC (Ashland Child Development Center)!! Guess that means Ashland is all set for the future (if they aren't offered inducements by another school).

Yes, Im being sarcastic :p but thats where this stuff is heading :creepy:

I was infamous for "recruiting" babies on my youth teams but these online critques about this age kid seems bizarre to me. There is no need to start analyzing their performance and/or projecting grade schoolers future is there  Why don't we stick to just warping the minds of HS level kids with our brilliant analyses for now and leave the little ones alone.

After many years of dealing with youth sports and following those youngsters through HS I could later could see the deleterious effect some of this stuff has on their development - both athletic and personality. Caution needs to be taken. :thumb:

Just a little bit of ranting on my part :flame:

Cheers, Woody Jr

Ashland defeated East Carter tonight 71 - 56. Matt Rowe had an unbelievable game, he must have scored about 30. The entire team was in sync tonight. This team plays very smart basketball and can score inside and out. Rose Hill was leading West Carter at halftime 21-16, but I dont know how it ended up.

Well I will tell you my opinion...If the HS Level teams worked as hard as the young teams we are speaking of then they would be a large amount better. As hard as these teams have worked all year, I believe it is Ok to critique them and award them their due. :thumb:

Take Rose Hill for instance, not many teams out there in 5th Grade that would practice 5 days a week and play in 2 leagues EVERY Saturday, one in Boyd County and one in Greenup County, just to be BETTER ball players....So give them some credit....These are not your normal young athletes these days. :thumb: Push them to the side now if you would like, but you will hear about them soon. :D

Should be a dandy in the championship game tonight, im looking forward to it.

ANy stats on the Rose Hill game?

Not sure of the official stats but I do know that 6th grader Kyle Bush poured in 13 points in the second half for Rose Hill. Pretty gutting performance that included 2 big 3 point shots.

Your brown nosing is endless, AT. First your positioning for the AD's job, now the referees. :D

And then there's Lonnie :creepy: :jump:

Don't even start with Lonnie.......or as I like to call him-----the buzzard with the long neck from the old cartoons!!!

"My momma done told me, go catch me a rabbit,,,and put him in a pot"

I've heard from quality sources that Davin Barnett of Morgan County is going to be an outstanding official. He definitely knows the game of basketball and how it's to be played. With experience and working hard, he'll move up the ladder.

Congrats Davin on your new found Profession :ylsuper:

I have seen Barnett ref a couple of games, and he does a great job.
