I know that at one point in the season, Fraley dressed 19 players on the varsity bench. (I know this becuase I counted personally). So you telling me that you cant find a few extra players to play in the tournament other than the Varsity starters. Ashland is a class act, I am sure that they would even allow Rose Hill to bring down a sophomore or two to play in the game, so it wouldn't tarnish their championship.

According to Ricky P.

all players from the 9th grade down were inelligible because they played jv or varsity on Tuesday(except 3 -7th graders and the grade school}

Thats not what I am trying to say AT41. Im really taking a slap at rose hill in a nice way for the way that they handled this situation. It was really a classless act. :ylsuper:

OK, sweet. I like you now. :lol:

Good point, but I think he would have been an ineligible player tonight.

I was responding to lockdown defender who said R.H. should have played younger guys

OK you have the floor -- are you telling me you think they should have brought the grade school too.

This idea about bringing a soph. to a 9th grade tournament-

Did Ashland offer it ? I would be surprised if they did.

I agree the game will not be made up because Ashland has a slim shot at beating Rose Hill, therefore Ashland will be happy to take the easy W than to suffer a loss to little old "Rose Hill".

Hey its not my fault that some people dont completely understand the rules. I believe that Coach Fraley and Euton should have realized the situation and held back a few players out instead of playing them in tuesday jv and varisty game. It is my understanding that Coach Euton's wife is the AD, and with that comes the responsibility of knowing the rules. I know that if a Kentucky team plays across the river, it is their responsibilty to know the qurater rule if it is within the contract. So its not Ashland's fault, the only thing that I blame them for is letting rose hill in the tournament anyway.

Rose Hill was told by a KHSAA commissioner at 10:30 am that they could play. At 2:30 Rose Hill received a "courtesy call" from Ashland informing them that they would be in violation if certain player participated. At 6:30 the KHSAA was finally reached and Rose Hill was told not to let the players participate. Leaving very little time for Rose Hill to gather up their 9, 10, 11, and 12 year olds.

Ohio has a limit on the number of quarters a player can play each night. Therefore, Rose Hill was forced to use players on Tuesday in the JV game they normally wouldn't use. If not for that rule they would have had enough to play tonight.

Well you either have a freshman team or you dont have a freshman team. You shouldnt have entered the tournament then. Any way from the previous post i counted six eligible players, why cant they play? Ive seen bath county play with six and win.

And i am not saying that ashland offered it, but they would have wanted to win this out right.

Not Ashlands problem, Rose Hill's problem. They should have known the rules. The AIT schedule was out in september and the varisty schedule was out in september. Plain and simple, KNOW THE RULES. If you cant play the whole tournament, then dont enter it. :thumb:

Can someone just answer for me the simple question of if ,"Ashland did not want to see the championship game end like this then why don't they just RESCHEDULE it????""

Any 5 or 6 yrs. old that could play ????????? :dancingpa

Ashland freshmen are 19-2, to say that have a "slim shot" at beating RH is a major understatment. Have you seen Ashland's freshmen play??
