Freshmen AIT

Featured Replies

If you knew about some "conspiracy" Monday why didnt you take the necessary steps to avoid this situation??

Yeah, Greenup and Ashland or West and Ashland would have been a great final to see. All teams were playing great ball. Rose hill should have just pulled out then instead of knocking out two well deserving freshman teams. Nothing personal RickyP butI am not blaming you, I blame Coach Fraley and the Eutons.

Possibly the Rose Hill girls could have played the Ashland freshmen. The girls would have enjoyed cutting down the nets.

The conversation I refered to took place on Monday. Rose Hill was made aware of it this morning and promply called the KHSAA and Paul Blazer High school before 11:00 am.

AT, do you believe deep down that Ashland wanted to play this game with Euton, Jackson, and Bair on the floor? Not the players and coaches but the "others".

The others?

I dont know. I cant speak for "the others" do I get included in "the others"? Because I would be insulted if I wasnt. But in all honesty I think EVERYONE wanted to play the game tonight.

I'm not taking it personally but I will except my share of the blame for not know the KHSAA rule book as well as everyone obviously needs to. You see I still live in this fantasy world were you just play ball and not where you try and use the rule book as a weapon.

I think Rose Hill played their role in the tournament to perfection. The were put in the toughest bracket, eliminated the tougher teams in the field and then had no one elligable to compete in the finals. It obviously all happened by accident.

  you found "the others" AT good job

I dont think Ashland cared who they played in the finals. I have seen those three mentioned play, and yes they are talented for their age, but they also show their age. But I was scouting Rose Hill Varisty and stayed fRaceland Rose HIll freshman game and the kid wearing #4 held Euton to 1pt. I was impressed becuase I am drawn to lockdown defenders and i thought that kid could really play defense.

Then play. I know it isn't you call but if everyone wanted to play then they should reschedule the game. I really think the Ashland players feel the same way. I don't know them personally but kids don't want to win a championship with the rule book.

People want o whine and complain about RH's 8th grders, but they might as well get over it because that is who they will be playing against for the rest of their varsity careers

But the thing is..that rules are a part of sports and life, you have to learn to live by them and play by them. SO to say you played your all's role to perfection is an understatement becuase you could not finish the tournament or you would have violated the rules. ;)
