Freshmen AIT

Well you either have a freshman team or you dont have a freshman team. You shouldnt have entered the tournament then. Any way from the previous post i counted six eligible players, why cant they play? Ive seen bath county play with six and win.

And i am not saying that ashland offered it, but they would have wanted to win this out right.

They could have played. rose Hill was working under the assumption that they could play anyone up until 2:30 or so. They were working under this assumption based on a conversation with the KHSAA. Unable to reach the KHSAA again until 6:00 Rose Hill wasn't sure who could or couldn't play. The eligable players are not on the freshman team and could not be essembled in time to play at 7:30.

The only reason Rose Hill called the KHSAA in the first place was because someone told them they had better check it out because Ashland was not going to let Jackson, Euton, or Bair participate due to bylaw 25. Anyone who thinks this wasn't well thought out is fooling themselves. Nothing that happened today was by accident.

Rose Hill was told by a KHSAA commissioner at 10:30 am that they could play. At 2:30 Rose Hill received a "courtesy call" from Ashland informing them that they would be in violation if certain player participated. At 6:30 the KHSAA was finally reached and Rose Hill was told not to let the players participate. Leaving very little time for Rose Hill to gather up their 9, 10, 11, and 12 year olds.

Quite convienently the KHSAA was reached 6:30, close to tip off, leaving very little time to contact players.

I have a question - Why is it okay for a 6th grader like Kyle Bush to play in a varsity game yet it would be a crazy for a 5th or 6th grader to play in a freshman game?

I don't know but if I were from Ashland I would say that anyone that could walk that was eligible to play from Rose Hill should play just cause we wanted to earn the championship, correct?

Ashland freshmen are 19-2, to say that have a "slim shot" at beating RH is a major understatment. Have you seen Ashland's freshmen play??

I have not and would love to, so pull some strings and get the game rescheduled.

The varsity games he has played in have been against the David School. Not disrespect intended for the David School but it isn't your typical varsity team.

I dont have that much pull, not yet anyway. But I do know where you can get your 2nd place trophy.....

Obviously it wasnt well thought out becuase you all couldnt play your big dogs in this fight.

Seems like rose hill made a mental mistake.

I cant take all the credit for that one, Ive gotta give an assist to a close friend.

Because there are not many 6th graders as good as Kyle Bush.

AT, too many strange things keep happening for me to continue to believe it is an accident. If Rose Hill hadn't gotten wind of what was going on they would have shown up and Jackson, Euton, and Bair would have not been allowed to participate.
