I guess cutting the nets down is their way of trying to make the best of a bad situation. When Rose Hill hands you lemons, Ashland makes lemonade.

And when Ashland invites us to a tournament we grab our vasoline.

I dont necessarily think it would have been "better" But I do think it would have been the "stand up" thing to do.

I think you have lost all perspective if you would even want to see your team playing against a grade school team.

AT, I personally call Blazer at 10:45 this morning to discuss the situation and my call wasn't returned until after 3:00. Which by the ways is after the KHSAA is in their meetings and unavailable for the rest of the day.

Thats fine. I dont know much about what happened earlier today. Just that the forfeit was at 6:30.

Could this be a new beginning of the Rose Hill - Ashland alliance?!?!?! Was this planned from the beginning? Why in the world would Ashland let Rose Hill into their tournament knowing that they were going to bring their Varisty, and be the favorites, unless they knew that all they had to do was make it to the finals to be champions. I dont understand why they didnt just play some of the younger kids, then rose hill would have had an excuse for losing. I was very dissapointed to show up to ashland tonight to watch only the consolation game between east and west, and not even get to see the finals. Sorry but in my opinion, if i were any other 16th region team or local team i would seriously considered foregoing a future invitation for the AIT. This definitely hurt the mystique of the AIT becuase I know that many of the area coaches treat this as their regional tournament. :fight:

I never said I "wanted" to see this game. Actually I would have been dissapointed that I wasnt getting to see that game I was hoping for. But any game is better than NO game.

I dont get that. When I hear vasoline, my mind goes straight in the gutter.

Very nice post lockdown defender. I agree with everything you said, except I dont think that the two teams some how came together to forfeit this game. I dont know if thats what your saying but thats how it sounds.

What?!? Are you serious!? Are you saying Rose Hill and Ashland conspired together to forfeit this game??? I can personally tell you, from someone that would know, what you are saying is DEFINITELY not the case.

I think most people would rather have a refund that watch a freshman team play 6th grade team without it's best player.

The 2nd leading scorer for R.H. last night was a 6th grader

I dont get that. When I hear vasoline, my mind goes straight in the gutter.

I don't get it either, but I thought it was funny. I could think of anything else.  I'm an old man remember.

I know that at one point in the season, Fraley dressed 19 players on the varsity bench. (I know this becuase I counted personally). So you telling me that you cant find a few extra players to play in the tournament other than the Varsity starters. Ashland is a class act, I am sure that they would even allow Rose Hill to bring down a sophomore or two to play in the game, so it wouldn't tarnish their championship.

Good point, but I think he would have been an ineligible player tonight.

Thats not what I am trying to say AT41. Im really taking a slap at rose hill in a nice way for the way that they handled this situation. It was really a classless act. :ylsuper:
