LOL - he may have been, but if so, what's he going to do when he wishes to stress a point?

I don't know, but do you use capitalized italics if you have yelled and your voice is starting to crack a bit?

YEAH... WHAT HE/SHE SAID... :thumb:

I cant say as I blame Rose Hill, these young men are still 8th Graders. Let the kids be kids and enjoy their age for once, instead of playing older players night after night.. :thumb:

:thumb:

Would you blame Rose Hill if one of those varsity starters gets hurt and ends their season in a Frosh Tournament? According to most in the 64th, people think they might have a chance to beat Ashland. I would go out on a limb and say that that if one of those gets hurt they have NO CHANCE of BEATING THE TOMCATS!! (plus Ashland gets a free scout!) And on a side note I would say if they should get beat what does that do for the young kids confidence! Remember the Cats won't be down long and this maybe Rose Hill's best chance in a long time to get to Morehead! ;)

If Rose Hill beats Ashland this year with 8th graders-I would say the future looks darn bright for the next 4 years at least.

Im just curious where Ashland's better players are coming from?

I dont give R.H. much of a chance of getting to Morehead this year but if they do with 8th graders- you can paint the 16th region royal blue for the next 4 years

TRUE, ROSE HILL CAME IN THIRD BUT TWO OF THEIR BETTER FIFTH GRADERS DID NOT PLAY ON THAT TEAM.

That sounds like that was of no fault but Rose Hill's. There was no rule that said they could not play. Rose Hill's team was made up of mostly 4th graders, and good ones at that, but like I said they should have played the other 2 5th graders. Also, since we are on this topic. My daughter's team played them the first game of the tournament and got killed by them, and it was odd that a lot of the weaker 4th graders that played all year with them was not there??? Maybe because they would have been forced to use them?? My daughters team about beat them a couple of weeks before that, then all of a sudden some of the weaker players disappeared... :D

Rose Hill has a good quality girls team, no doubt in that, but if we were to put a team together in that age in Boyd County, it would not be a close game, even with your other 2 5th graders. :thumb:

I dont believe that it would be a blow out. I believe it may be a good game but by no means a blow out for either team.

And the reason they did not play in this league is because they were playing in another league and playing in the 7th and 8th grade and playing some jv.

We also thought this would give the other girls more playing time to help better their skills.

Definetly agreeable reasons, but where were the other girls that needed the playing time to better their skills that were there thru the whole season?

I have only barely seen the other 2 5th graders you are speaking of, I do know the are good, but also feel the way that Ponderosa's team played Defense and the way they pounded my daughters team, that they would have gave you a run for your money, even with the 2 girls. It looked that Ponderosa was mainly keyed in on playing their starting 5 in the championship and not playing all of their kids either, which would have made a difference in the game too, because they had to find playing time for around 12-14 players all year.

My daughters team was extremely young and used this year as a experience year, and hopefully we can match up with Rose Hill next year, if not it could be ugly for us. :thumb:

By the way, I am not stupid either....Rose Hill thought they were going to walk thru this league and win it and they didnt believe they needed the other 2 girls. The Problem was that there were a few teams that drastically improved and Rose Hill stayed even. Personally I wish the other 2 girls would have played, I would have liked to have seen them play. Maybe Rose Hill could have beat my daughters team 40-0 :thumb: That was of no fault to Rose Hill, we just could not hit a basket, pretty sad when you dont hit one shot.

Good luck to Rose Hill next year, hopefully we will be ready for ya.. :thumb:
