I believe your #2 will be hard to chew as Coach Baldwin matures into a head coach. There will be crow on the menu if you are interested. Get at me in a couple of years and heck, ill even bake it up for you.

From my understanding from talking to coaches in the district, Hampton was hired, went home to vanceburg, told his kids and the school he was leaving, then was called by the greenup co. principal who had just hired him and was told that because they were friends, he had to tell him that it wouldnt be in his best interests to come. Im sure he told him this due to the pending legal problems and what may happen if hicks comes out on top of this and is reinstated, leaving hampton with nowhere to go. Trust, I think Hampton wanted this job and I dont think it was his change of heart that caused this problem.

Burge played tremendously last night. He got a little excited there towards the end, but all in all was the MVP. Another thing, East Carter has some young guns getting alot of minutes. Kyle Bair (sp) and Tyler Jackson along the amazing athleticism of drew johnson will be a nice little 1-2-3 punch next year. Also add Colt Barnhill who is growing every day... I cant wait.

Im never the one to judge, lets just say the home plate umpire heaberlin (sp?) had a huge impact on this game. Anyone watching not cheering for Ashland can agree. I think even the dozen or so BC fans could even attest.

I did nothing, we were just a section of East Carter supporters sitting behind the bench. Its a terrible thing to overcast your talent with such a horrible attitude.

To Morgan Co. Fans : I dont think you lost much when Weddington went back to Elliott. I wouldnt put up with his attitude. I couldnt believe the refs let him grab them and yell in their faces over calls. I was the person he pointed at in the stands. Quite disrespectful if you ask me.

The OJ and Bill to OSU rumor has been flying around for months. What has been said IS the wake forest coach is leaving, the West Virginia coach is going after that job, leading the OSU coach to pursue the WVU job (completely stupid with his incoming talent, this has to be false) and then Huggins to be inline for the OSU job, bringing his good friends Bill and OJ with him. The only part of this that has any truth is the fact that Bob Huggins has a strong relationship with Bill and OJ, the rest of it makes no sense.

I have a question. I have just been skimming through the pages.....not reading every post. But....If this rule was going to be in effect, wouldn't all these teams be violating the rule by playing Monday-Thursday? If its been asked then sorry.

East Carter had a very well balanced scoring from all of their players. I don't know if anyone was in double figures. As for the Musketeers, Joe Riley had the big game for them. Somewhere around 16 points and had some big rebounds in keeping them in the game. Very sloppy game overall. Has coach Hicks came back to "Ward Ball" in Greenup County. I didn't see anything wrong with his style of up in your face hard as you can go for 32 minutes. I guess not getting to Morehead is really starting to soak in.......maybe even to change the style of basketball he's preached for 4 years???

West Carter won this game. I believe the final score was 36-30.....but don't quote me on that.

Better than Ramel Bradley and Ravi Moss? Owens is a good player, but not better than what Tubby has coming off the bench. I know you're a true Boyd fan......but you can at least come back to reality for a few minutes. :thumb:

Yes a tremendous ball player against athletes from the 16th region. He is not near an sec player. I think Marshall, or a small division one school or something like that would be ok, but as far as UK, come on people, no way.

East Carter beat Raceland by 15 in the first game tonight. I believe Ashland was up 2 at halftime on Boyd County in the 2nd game. Both games have been very exciting.....

I think that the biggest misconception between fans....and sometimes even coaches is with the 5 second call. Now you all can quote me for saying this....and please look this up, but isn't it supposed to be 6 feet. Most people think thats it is 3 feet. Please be easy on the bashing if I am wrong.

I agree 100%, Surgalski did well around the basket, and does well in college too. I just think that to say he is a better player than Patterson is a very dumb biased comment.

I never said he didn't sign with a division 1 team, I said he had a good career at an naia school. Patterson has the athletic ability to make money playing basketball, and will end up playing at a much better basketball school then Wright State. You have no argument here. Having a legit opinion and being biased are two totally different things.

Surgalski has had a good career at an NAIA school, Patterson is being heavily recruited by a number of top 25 division 1 teams. I don't think Surgalski is in Pattersons league.

You have to remember one thing, it's not like Patterson on a team with a bunch of scrubs, Huntington has other talent other than him. Granted he is far and away the most talented Taylor and Williams can play as well, that in itself takes away alot of points he could get. And you can bet the farm that he is the focus of every defense he plays. He has size and athletic ability that is rare, he will turn out to be a fine division one college basketball player.
