The Lions hand Morgan their first 16th region loss of the year with a 2 point victory at West Liberty. Morgan had their last second shot roll off the rim. There were 13 lead changes and 7 ties in this close contest. EC was lead by Evan Faulkner with 21 and Weddington with 16. Blake McCowan was top man for the Cougars with 21, Peyton and Young both with 15, Adkins had 6, Haney with 5 and Wes Williams with 3. Elliott County improves to 17-4 and the Cougars drop to 15-3.

Wow! Huge win for Elliott. Sounds like a heckuva game for the Lions.

Congrats to Elliott Co. On a given night they can beat anyone in the 16th! But if they arent' hitting, they lose like to Fairview! No doubt that Elliott is a team you can't overlook though. This loss is especially bad for Morgan, because it will be even more difficult to beat them in Sandy Hook!

I think this loss to Elliott County tonight will make the Cougars really revved up for the game against the Lions on their home floor. I know what a difficult place Elliott County is for the opposing team to play but I think the Cougars will take care of business and win it by a very slight margin.

EC proved that they are as good as team as any in the 16th. As long as they are hitting.

I listened to the end of this game. Both teams hit some clutch free throws down the stretch. Everytime Elliott would get up four, Morgan would answer. They would foul Elliott which would hit their free throws then Morgan would answer. Morgan got a final shot off at the buzzer but missed. Sounds like both teams played their hearts out especially Elliott. Great win!
