I agree the after the Fairview game this is somewhat of a shocker, however, that was just 1 game, the Eagles player really well and the Lions played really bad.

 

Tonight was a great game by both teams, Elliott took Morgan's best shot and kept going.

 

Is Fairview #1 now? I don't think there is a clear #1 in the region, but they are no doubt one of the teams to beat.

Its true they got a 30-point win in their cracker box, grade-school gym that was about 500 people over its capacity against a young team, but they're going to have to beat Elliott and Morgan before they can be separated as a true number one. Keep in mind, I'm not saying they won't win the region, but I don't think their is a true number one at the time.

You know, honestly I had Ashland on there and then I took them off. I haven't seen Greenup, Ashland, Rose Hill, or West Carter play so it was hard to choose the second group. I think Ashland has strong coaching though and will probably be competitive come tournament time (at least traditionally they are always strong in the tourney).

I gave the props to Elliott for the win. They outplayed Morgan last night. It's also my opinion that that wasn't Morgan's best shot last night. I don't care how many three's they hit. They missed easy layups down the stretch and didn't play with near the intensity and desperation that I've seen this team play with.
