Horrible move for him....hopefully he is getting Paid $$$$$

:wideyed:

Oh my...did that one ever come out of nowhere. But I have to say, I like it. He has an NBA coach temperment. As long as he has the support of management and Rondo or some other prima donna doesn't run him too soon, I think this could be a great move. The good news on that front is, I don't think there are any prima donna's left in Boston except Rondo.

I see no negatives for him. If he fails, he gets picked up by a top tier BCS school in a flash. And he will have NBA ties on his resume to sell to the recruits.

Brad Stevens ----------Left Field--------Center Field---------Right Field

Wow. Didn't see this coming at all.

Good for him. Bad for Butler. I like the move by the Celtics though. Nice.

That's true, I just hate to see him or any coach that I like go through what the Celtics are getting ready to go through.

I'm fine with him pulling a Pitino, and coming to Duke in 4 years from now when K retires.

Talking about a step up. People were taking if he was next in line maybe at Duke eventually or another high profile D1 program. Now he passes all of that up and goes straight to the top of the coaching world in one of the most prestigious gigs. Hopefully he fares better than Pitino, plus he may as well give it a go he can always come back and land most college jobs.

I don't think anyone saw this coming. I logged in on Twitter and everyone was saying Brad Stevens!!! Then finally I seen a link, clicked on it and it brought me to what I posted...I was in shock because I didn't see it coming at all. Didn't even know they were looking at Stevens. I believe this is a good move by both parties. Stevens making more $$$ and Celtics got a darn good coach. Depending on how it turns out, I'd say this is a Win-Win for both parties.

No.

Interesting move for Mr. Stevens, might as well go to a programs that proven they'll make the moves necessary to produce championship teams.

Will we have a press conference sometime next season when we hear....KG and Paul Pierce are not walking through those doors...?
