Everyone loves Doc but Rondo couldn't make it work with him. I'm not sure who can deal with him.

As young as this Celtics team is there is going to have to be a lot of teaching and coaching. Development will be key for all the young guys they will have and will be bringing in, they need someone who can mold it all together to try and form a talented arrangement. He will have to coach as hard as anyone in the NBA the next few years IMO.

 

I understand and you could be right due to all the one and dones in the league, I just don't think much "coaching" goes on in the NBA.

I think Rondo was the final nail in Tubby leaving Lexington. Every single person and coach he is around talk about how much of a pain he is.

Love the move by Stevens. If it doesn't work out, he'll be coming back to the college ranks right around the time the blue-bloods (Duke, UNC, UofL, UK, KU) are going to be looking for the next coach to take over the reigns.

 

As for Rondo, a team that I think would be a solid fit for him would be the Thunder. Would never happen, but think he'd fit in very well with them.

I'd love to see Rondo on the Thunder. Westbrook would flourish IMO.

That's why I hold Rondo. You wait for Westbrook and Durant to combust. It might this year without the third scorer since they were stupid and traded Harden and then let Martin leave. Russell is a head case but you can do more with him.

 

Right now they'd be trading Rondo for virtually nothing. Rudy Gay? Can't build around him. Danny Granger? What a joke. There is no good move for Rondo unless you want to play the draft pick game and I only do that for a completely unprotected this year and someone like Gay.
