When I first heard this a couple of days ago I thought the person that told me was just trying to get me going with a joke. I hardly ever am in this forum, don't follow the NBA all that closely. I do watch most of the Celtic games when they are on, have liked them since the John Havlichek/Bill Russell days.

Having said all that useless info (lol) I wish Stevens all the best but also wish that he would had stayed in college basketball. Stevens was one of the very top college coaches and my personal favorite coach. I will certainly watch the Celtics even more now. I hope that his players will respect him and play hard for him. There is no doubt that he could be a very good NBA coach, I just hope that the Celtics management along with their fans stay behind him.

Should I be able to say anything to Brad Stevens, first it would be...."Say it ain't so coach"....."Please don't go and go back, the game of college basketball needs people like you" !

I obviously have no say in the matter so.....good luck to Stevens and Go Celtics !

Good read, that's something his wife will likely frame. They should for their grand kids to see. Great story really, what Stevens was able to accomplish at Butler.
