Well, that doesn't seem to have been handled well to begin with. At least the prosecutor had enough sense to correct this quickly.

Sounds like the ABC officers patrolling UofL football games. Tools on a power trip.

Are you suggesting the authorities should look the other way when it comes to alcohol offenses and college students?

no, but I know TVC is talking about, ABC officials are very power hungry. They came after our group a few years ago for the UC vs UL game, all of us over 21 and no one drinking nothing but water and pop. They swore we had alcohol and was providing it minors, they were in plain clothes roaming the parking lots. Glad a friend of mines brother is an FBI agent and was with us, he handled the situation quickly.

No, but just because they are at a college football game doesn't mean people are breaking the law. I've seen the same thing the other guys are talking about on several occasions.

Wow, the ABC agents should be charged with something. You can't just jump on a person's car and try to break in their windows.

I'm proud to live in a country where young women can reasonably fail to make the distinction between would-be attackers and officers of the law. It aids my sleep to know that we have such resources to establish large, undercover task forces to keep college students from drinking. I would pay any price to never live in a hell where underage drinkers didn't receive the same treatment as violent felons. And don't get me started on drugs. I hope that one day we can turn our military inwards and raid each and every house suspected of harboring pot smokers. Until then, we will never truly be the Land of the Free.

No, I think we should just get rid of all of our police all together. We should let anybody do whatever they want to do and do it to anybody. Want to get drunk and kill some people? No problem! Want to die of an overdose -- or better yet, kill some child you got hooked on your goods? No big deal! What's a little drunk driving, hooliganism and violence between friends? Nobody cares if someone dies...the important thing is that we don't have to follow even the simplest of rules. :thumb:

What rules did this young lady break?

Suspiciousness is a crime.

Unfortunately police (abc police included) are human. They will make mistakes. Doesn't mean we should just ignore it...before anyone says that's what I'm saying.

Of course they are human, but this more of a problem with policy than discretion. Why are there twenty undercover officers prepared to draw arms and use force against minors buying alcohol? Why not one or a uniformed officer? Why do we accept these sorts of policies as a society that collectively believes in the tenets of freedom?

Those are questions for the people in charge. I agree that a uniformed police officer would have been a wonderful idea.

Another good idea would have been to simply stop them calmly and identify what they were carrying. They screwed up for sure and I agree if they consistently do things this way they might want to change their approach.
