No, the old scoreboard will be gone. Also, the new scoreboard will continue to be operated from the press box, but the video board will be controlled from the media room (some pre-2000 grads may know this as the old chorus room) which is located behind the HHS sidelines.

My thinking is $100 raffle tickets to own that Legend, the school takes it down and I will deliver to anyone's curb within 50 miles of HHS.

 

Also, a certificate of authenticity would be part of the deal.

Stipulations (Can not be re-used for "good luck" at another HS and must not be sold to anyone on the other side of the Licking River) Just sayin...

 

It would look real nice in someones "Mancave" or backyard.

Because the new one is already paid for or they wouldn't be upgrading if they were counting on funds from the sale of the old one to help out.

 

Take a Historic Legend and generate $ thru an raffle and present the proceeds to an organization that needs it to save lives or fund future studies.

 

If HHS came out and said we want the proceeds to go to the new scoreboard then you might get 10 tiks sold.

 

I think they sell the tiks beginning asap and announce the winner via "JUMBOBIRD" with a National televised audience on hand as well.

Just real good PR if you ask me and we could have alot of fun with it as well...

I would buy a chance and if I won i would put the Birds on the loosing side of the board as that is the only way for me to get them there. Lol.

Sorry folks, Federal regulations will not allow anyone to discharge a firearm indoors, so I guess the cannon will have to remain on the shelf for now...

I will bet some way some how TBIRDS gets his hands on that scoreboard..

It would look kool mounted on the back of the BIRDBUS. He could take the State Championships off the bottom since those are already displayed on the interior as I am sure you already know.

 

On return trips from road games he could rig it up to show the final score of the game for the long rides home...:thumb:

It would be neat to know so we could take the total number of home HHS games and add up all the scores vs opponents and see what kinda number we come up with.

 

This would be a great special assignment for BF and perhaps Henry.

Henry you tell us when it was installed and what was the first yr and game and BF you work the numbers thingy...:thumb:

The current board was put in before 1992 season. A coke truck backed into it and it had to be repaired before it ever even got to keep score of a game.

Unfortunately, the records I have don't show home and away. So there would be no way to know which games to include. The only one who "might" be able to figure that out is The Great and Mighty Wizard of Stats himself.
