Approximately two or three -- other than me. But there are a lot people who just grab a chair and plant themselves there. Those chairs never used to be there. Someone went in and got one...then got one for someone else...then another. Before long, it was totally out of control. :ohbrother:

Gotcha, the attempt will be there...

Sweep -- I would be surprised if this ends up being the location. I strongly suspect it will be where the current scoreboard is. Also, I assume you meant 4' rather than 4". If so, that is correct.

 

 

I have no idea where the board will go, but I know jpa2825 has a very reliable source for his info.

Maybe placing the scoreboard where visibility is best in the stands is by design. Meaning that they are hoping those who stand along the sideline area by concession will now sit in the stands. It does get pretty crowded and congested in that area.

A friend of mine that goes to almost all of the practices asked the principal where the score board will go. The principal said the same location as the old score board.

Also the new "Press Box" construction will start this week. The old "Press Box" was paid for by the Highlands Athletic Boosters and its cost was $30,000. The new "Press Box" will cost substantially more.

The new scoreboard WILL be situated approx in the same area as the existing one. Soil testing will take place very shortly to confirm suitable location.

 

I was near the field today and dropped by with tape measure in hand and all I can say is WOW!!!

This thing is huge, now take into consideration the DCM makeup and this is really going to be neat.

 

All I can say is there is a whole bunch of really good things going on right now at DCM concerning facilities, etc. :thumb:

Since you measured, can you give us a comparison, size wise, between the old and new scoreboards?

Last time in the Cty, I drove by Campbell's new facility. Beautiful place with an enormous scoreboard. From Sweep's description, sounds like HHS's will be a little more " enormouser". Lol!
