Fiasco?

 

After speaking with Sweep today, sounds like all is well at DCM stadium. Y'all can rest easier now.

Any updated pics of the work going on at DCMS?

If anybody else in the state is thinking about getting a scoreboard like this keep in touch with me. The company I am with is very close to launching their football scoreboards that will blow this price out of the water. We already have basketball out. Football+baseball should be coming this year. Congrats to Highlands that is a beautiful scoreboard. Always loved playing there. Fans right on the field. Place surrounded with tradition.

I also heard someone tell a guy up at the barber shop that it will also dispense Blue Koolaid thru pub style spikots at halftime...Just sayin

Also the new "Press Box" construction will start this week. The old "Press Box" was paid for by the Highlands Athletic Boosters and its cost was $30,000. The new "Press Box" will cost substantially more.

 

The Press Box was in very bad shape. Now I am not saying this due to size or condition of the box but trust me in the CovCath vs. HHS playoff game more than once we spoke (HHS staff and CovCath staff) about the thing coming down. Seriously, the box was swaying back and forth at times during the game.

You are going to love the new one TOG.

 

Heat and AC throughout, open window options, plenty of counter space, wifi, lots of lighting and few other amenities that you will not find in but a handful of HS stadiums around the state.

 

The box is top notch and you will enjoy it but I will warn you the thing still sways and moves just a bit but all really good engineered structures are suppose to do that. :thumb:

The pressbox consists of (5) very roomy individual suites.

 

Also has stair access to the roof for videography and a Birdseye view :thumb:

 

New scoreboard work begins Monday

Old scoreboard is down. It appears the new scoreboard will be in the same endzone but behind the far fence in the trees/woods. Crews are in the woods taking out large trees to fit it in. There are 3 30 foot steel beams onsite that appear to be ready to be installed.

 

Clock is ticking...

Heard a new rumor tonight while picking up the boy from practice. "Death Valley" supposely will be turned into an indoor practice area including new home and visitor locker rooms. Sounds like a lot of $$$ and far fetched. Just repeating what I heard.

Uh those are 60" beams to be buried 20' in the ground. Pretty sure scoreboard will still be on field side of fence. That fella in the woods with the chain saw, he was just sweepin the area clear of overhang and brush.

Wow that would be sweet. Wonder if it would be like Simon Kenton's indoor facility. I understand that one has all the amenities including full field.

Yeah your right. I went back and looked after i posted and they are 60'. They are huge.

I had also heard a bubble is going over Death Valley. Apparently the junior football league is talking about it.

 

Can't wait to see all the upgrades at the field.
