July 21, 201412 yr Announcing Nov 12th. Says he hasn't made a decision yet. Well that's weird. Newman's tweet made it sound like it was coming soon. :idunno:
July 21, 201412 yr Author Well that's weird. Newman's tweet made it sound like it was coming soon. :idunno: What I read into it was ...no more package deal.
July 22, 201412 yr Author I watched this kid in the Peach Jam and was really impressed. So glad UK has offered. from Scout.com. The website is reporting that 2015 Big man Caleb Swanigan received an offer from Kentucky today, a big development for the star player. He played against Cheick Diallo and had the better of the matchup and it was that performance that may have pushed Calipari over the top. Michigan State has been the considered leader and Indiana/Louisville are also involved. But with Kentucky in the picture, things may change for a guy with lots of talent and a frame that is ready to compete right away in major college basketball Caleb Swanigan. The big guy went up against two top 25 players in Diallo and Bryant and he outplayed them both. His big night in front of the UK coaching staff included a buzzer-beating three to send the game to overtime, followed by another three at the buzzer to force a second overtime. I believe he had 20 and 10 in the game. UK has been in contact and interest likely picked up after he stole the show at the Peach Jam. Bb Recruiting | Kentucky Sports Radio
July 23, 201412 yr CBSSports' Jeff Borzello says Kentucky is likely the new favorite for 2015 five star shooting guard Antonio Blakeney.

Bb Recruiting | Kentucky Sports Radio Love Biggie, but he didn't outplay Diallo or Bryant in that game. He did hit the two big triples to keep his team alive, but he was the 3rd best big guy in the game...
July 23, 201412 yr CBSSports' Jeff Borzello says Kentucky is likely the new favorite for 2015 five star shooting guard Antonio Blakeney. Only saw him twice last weekend, but walked away impressed both times. He does get a little trigger happy at times, but not nearly as much as Newman or Trier...
July 24, 201412 yr Author Some interesting info on him. Lost 100 lb since 8th grade. Alabama was interested in him playing football, reclassified to the 2015 class, and much more. Fort Wayne’s Caleb Swanigan is the latest high school senior to receive the ultimate prize: a scholarship offer to play basketball at the University of Kentucky. A top 25 player in the class, Swanigan shined at the Nike EYBL Peach Jam last weekend in front of the UK coaching staff, earning him the offer from John Calipari on Sunday. An unofficial count makes Swanigan the 13th member of the 2015 class to receive an offer from UK. We know the others, so now it’s time we get to know a little more about Caleb in tonight’s ‘Meet The New Guy’ feature. July 24, 201412 yr Heard John Robic was watching Blakeney in the AAU nationals in Louisville yesterday and today. Calipari was watching Jaylen Brown and Skal Labissiere in Las Vegas last night.

July 24, 201412 yr Same story out of Thon Maker's camp; the move to the class of 2015 is unlikely at this point. Probably best for Thon and UK given the quality of bigs in the class. Edited July 24, 201412 yr by blueandgold

July 25, 201412 yr Luke Kennard grew up a Kentucky basketball fan but decided to commit to rival Duke I saw him for the first time today. He is longer than I expected.
July 25, 201412 yr Luke Kennard grew up a Kentucky basketball fan but decided to commit to rival Duke When did Duke become a "rival" of Kentucky. I thought that was reserved for Louisville, Florida, and Tennessee.
