Massive police operation in Boston

Foreign would heighten my awareness for sure. Either way, I'm not going to watch someone leave a backpack unattended in an insanely crowded area and stick around. That just makes no sense to me.

I just think it's awfully easy for a lot of folks to Monday morning QB these types of situations that's all.

The next few hours will be interesting as the sun starts to go down and it get's darker.

@NotJakeOwen: Toby Keith just asked me 'what rhymes with Chechnya?'

Got a well-needed laugh on that one.

Nyet, ya.

It's easy to become complacent and think we're safe at all times also.

That's my take. They have no idea where he is and can only keep searching, taking any tip they get, and hope he or whoever he might be with messes up... It's been 15 hours, he might not even be in the area anymore.

Hell he could be in KY by now. I just wonder what's going thru this kids head, he's gotta be hungry, gotta be exhausted. The LEO's can just change shifts every few hours and keep on going, he doesn't have that on his side and it's gotta be waring on him.

For all we know he's secure and asleep. Nobody really knows, even the police it seems.

They say they have the "white hat guy" in custody on the scanners

They have someone that might be him, but the officer can't confirm his ID.

The lockdown has ended. Does that mean they got him or just shifted their search?

It means they don't know where he is...

They jsut said on the scanner that they have him and are holding him while they do a final quadrant search.

^ Someone needs to tell the police commissioner because he is in a press conference now with no clue if they caught the guy.

@J_tsar "September 10th baby, you know what tomorrow is. Party at my house!" #thingsyoudontyellwhenenteringaroom

Could that also be an allusion to the day he became a Citizen? I think I read that he became a US citizen on September 11th.

No more than an hour after the ban is lifted, gunfire in Watertown just down the street from an NBC reporter. Have they found him?
