April 19, 201313 yr Uhhh, no. Foreign dude dropping off a backpack and leaving it in a crowded setting? Uh, hell naw. I'm leaving AND reporting it. You can be complacent all you want. Ok, here's what I'm getting at, how do you know he's foreign? Is there an app for that?
April 19, 201313 yr Am I the only one scratching my head at how a 19 year old can completely elude for upwards 15+ hours, an entire army of police, swat, and military in a city that is in complete lockdown mode?
April 19, 201313 yr Forget the foreign part. Why would anyone watch someone drop off a backpack to not one single soul and then leave it unattended? I don't live in an America where people are nice enough to watch your bag for you when you leave. Hahaha you can't forget that foreign part that's been your reasoning this whole time. I'll be complacent while you be paranoid, we've both lasted this long I'm sure we'll survive just fine.

April 19, 201313 yr Probably because everyone was paying attention to the race, and not people watching. I said anyone not everyone. The victim saw him. The victim looked him in his eyes. The victim watched him leave the bag and walk away. People on BGP are saying it is normal for folks to do that at marathons. PP92 said if I see it in the Walmart parking lot I'm leaving and reporting it. If I see it at Kroger I'm leaving and reporting it. If I see it at the Boston Marathon I am leaving and reporting it.

I don't live in an America where people are nice enough to watch your bag for you when you leave. Also the injured victim said the guy looked him in the eye, no hey will you watch my bag, no ill be right back. I'm sure the terrorist was expressionless. We make a thread asking if the horseshoe casino is safe cause of the community, yet foreigners leaving duffle bags on curbs walking away doesn't cause alarm.

That has me puzzled as well, any movement and he should be caught. They either know where he is and are very carefully watching him and planning their assualt or they have no idea where he is. I hope it's the first.
April 19, 201313 yr Hahaha you can't forget that foreign part that's been your reasoning this whole time. I'll be complacent while you be paranoid, we've both lasted this long I'm sure we'll survive just fine. Foreign would heighten my awareness for sure. Either way, I'm not going to watch someone leave a backpack unattended in an insanely crowded area and stick around. That just makes no sense to me.
April 19, 201313 yr The longer this goes, the more obvious it becomes to me they don't know where he is.
April 19, 201313 yr The longer this goes, the more obvious it becomes to me they don't know where he is. I would tend to agree with you. For what it's worth, though, I don't think they've tried to give the appearance that they absolutely did know where he was to begin with.
April 19, 201313 yr That's my take. They have no idea where he is and can only keep searching, taking any tip they get, and hope he or whoever he might be with messes up... It's been 15 hours, he might not even be in the area anymore.
April 19, 201313 yr Ok, here's what I'm getting at, how do you know he's foreign? Is there an app for that? Even if he isn't of foreign descent when they look me in the eye and then leave an unattended backpack at my feet in an insanely crowded area and then walk away without concern for the bag that's a problem.
April 19, 201313 yr The longer this goes, the more obvious it becomes to me they don't know where he is. None of us really know what's going on, media included.

Totally agree obviously the foreign part raises the bar higher. We can't forget 9/11, sure were much safer now but there's 10 lil Bin Ladens growing up in the desert somewhere. We have to understand how the world is and the fact were always a target.
