Nate McGovney Makes College Choice!

Featured Replies

Campbell County Senior Nate McGovney has chosen to play basketball at Thomas Moore next season. He has been looking at the school over the last few weeks and has decided it would be a good fit for him for his college career. I am sure Nate will be a great addition to the team and it will be nice to watch him play nearby. Good luck Nate!

Congrats! I think he can definitely make an impact for the Saints!

Congratulations to Nate. Saints are getting a good one.

Congrats to Nate...this is a great fit for him. Good to see him further his education locally.

Congrats!

Congratulations to Nate. Saints are getting a good one.

Yep. Best of luck to Nate! :thumb:

Congratulations to Nate. Great kid who will do well in basketball and academics.

That's awesome news. I'm very glad for him, and wish him the very best at Thomas Moore.

So glad to see kids go on to the next level and live their dream, while getting a college education. Very proud of you Nate and good luck!!!!

Congrats to Nate, I have watched him evolve into an excellent basketball player since he was a 4th grader and this is a great fit.

Congratulations Nate. Great school...............We'll hope to catch some games.

Congrats to Nate. Did he have interest from other schools? I recall seeing threads pre- injury that he and McClendon were both getting SEC interest.

I'm sure that Nate's knee injury took its toll on his value in the marketplace. With that being said, I would rather see Nate go to a school where he can be an impact player, and have a great career, making a mark on their program, rather than go to a big name school where he would have to bide his time for PT and be a cog in a big wheel.

Great catch for the Saints!!!
