Defensively, Meso is the only one blocking him from becoming a very good catcher. Are you talking about Hanigan being a horrible receiver? He is considered one of the best defensively and in calling a game - and the stats back that up.

It's as their role as a Red. No more than that. For instance, I loathed how bad an outfielder D. Bichette was. Worst I've ever seen. Made Dunner look like Willie Mays.
