Dude threw out nearly 50% of base runners last year and you don't like him? Boo.

It's just that IMO he's blocking Meso from becoming a very good catcher.

Couldn't hit water if he jumped off a pier.

Not one of those will ever be erased. No matter who the poet, Giamatti or whomever.

Why do you watch baseball? What are the objectives of the game?

Hits?

Get on base?

Score runs?

Win games?

Pete did all of those things better than anyone who played the game, ever.

Team player? Moved from 2B where he was an all star to OF to make room for Helms, moves from RF to LF to make room for Tolan, moved from left to 3rd to make room for Foster.

All star at five different positions.

Best Red ever. Period.

My vote goes to Adam Dunn.

Refused to accept move to 1st base. Refused to accept coaching related to his swing. Sought personal stats over betterment of team.

Who cares? Nearly 50%. Let that sink in.

Dude's a horrible receiver. Doesn't seem to have the pitcher's confidence either. How many mound trips did he have to take the other day? Offensively, sure. Defensively, Meso is the only one blocking him from becoming a very good catcher.

Single digit ribbies for half a season, sinking, sinking, sinking.

You can have Piazza. Handling a staff and keeping runners on 1st is his job, then hitting. And yes, Leake is a better hitter. That's not the point.

Meso needs more games. You know it and I know it.
