April 3, 201313 yr Awesome. Those are great. Any chance a player actually wears No. 5 on Saturday? I'm thinking specifically of Chane.
April 3, 201313 yr Nice. I've got to say I'm a bit surprised that the NCAA or Adidas, or whoever, hasn't come running to the front saying "you can't do that...they aren't on an approved list" or some other nonsense.

Interestingly enough, the NCAA seems to take a hands-off approach on this kind of stuff (otherwise we probably wouldn't see all the ridiculous Oregon combos). The NFL on the other hand would be all over it.

Obviously you can wear a generic number if your uniformed is bloodied or damaged, but I'm not sure if a player can change a number in season in basketball.

Obviously you can wear a generic number if your uniformed is bloodied or damaged, but I'm not sure if a player can change a number in season in basketball. Yeah, I guess that's why I asked. Didn't know if it was a number set for the season or if it only mattered what numbers were listed when the rosters were turned in to officials right before the game.
April 3, 201313 yr I think as long as the number change is a week prior to the game it's OK. Could be. I seem to recall Ramon Harris making a number switch about halfway through Cal's first season at UK. I guess it is legal.
April 3, 201313 yr And of course UL and Adidas are selling shirts like this. The NCAA makes me sick. A school and company making a profit off of a players injury where not only will that player not see a single dime from this but also no money for his medical bills. Sickening.

You really think he'll have medical bills from this?
