March 24, 201313 yr I asked my fiancé on a night we were going out for a nice dinner. We were about ready to leave, I acted like I was busy and asked her to get my coat. When she came back to the living room I was down on one knee. And let's just say the rest is history. I kept it simple because that's the kind of woman she is and doesn't like all the attention on her.

Just take he somewhere nice for dinner and then try to propose in a relatively private setting - maybe somewhere that's meaningful to the two of you (although that didn't pan out so well when I proposed to my fiancee...there's a thread on here about that). I say save the big production for the wedding, not the proposal. Good for you though, buddy. Great news!
