UK Roster for 2013/14

Pretty much a foregone conclusion that Nerlens is gone. Jeff Goodman tweeted this:

Nerlens Noel still likely headed to NBA. Rehab going well from what I have been told. Well ahead of schedule.

And no doubt throw up a big air ball. :lol2:

Well, at least it would mean I got to play!

I know I'm in the minority, but I still contend UK needed back Goodwin (and dare I say maybe Harrow) more than the other two which have decided to return. Having both back certainly helps, but the backcourt is thin with 0 experience. Last season the backcourt was thin, but Lamb at least had experience.

I think WCS was the most important one to keep. After that, I wanted the other guys to stay but don't think we NEED any of them.

Agreed on WCS. Dakari is going to be really good, but will be a 15-20 minute guy early. Having WCS to split time with at the 5 will be a huge plus in his development IMO...

Who will be better by the end of the year? Dakari or WCS?

I am in that minority with you.

From another thread. Our roster so far:

Kentucky is going to be HUGE.

6'5" Aaron Harrison

6'5" Andrew Harrison

6'6" James Young

6'8" Alex Poythress

6'9" Julius Randle

6'9" Marcus Lee

6'9" Kyle Wiltjer

6'10" Dakari Johnson

7'0" Willie Cauley-Stein

From another thread. Our roster so far:

Poor Derrick Willis, even Goldie won't recognize the home grown boy.

Nope you better check again. I'm younger, and have better eyesight. Two can play that game. :lol2::lol2::lol2:

WCS has by far the greater upside. Love Dakari and have for years, but he is a block to block below the rim type for the most part. The reality is probably somewhere in the middle. Dakari can be like Sullinger in that he can dominate a game from 5 feet and in with skill, but WCS is a legit 7'0" and has an athleticism you just never see on a guy that size. Will be one hell of a 1-2 punch at the 5...
