If you have players playing 20-25 minutes a game but playing quality basketball then I don't see it hurting them. Especially if the talent and potential still show.

I thought when you signed your NBA contract that is what you are paid regardless if you are D-League or not. The ones making the smaller salaries are the ones who do not have NBA contracts. At least I think that is the way it is, could be wrong.

I'm not 100% sure how it works it works with being drafted and then sent to the D-league what type of salary you will have.

They get their first 2 years guaranteed after the draft. After that, it's a team option. If they leave, they better save their money.

You are correct, the get their first 2 years guaranteed after the draft. After that, it's a team option. If any of the 3 declare, they better save their money.

I am 90% certain that if you are a first round pick, your contract is guaranteed. So a first rounder sent to the D-league is still making his NBA money. If you are not a 1st rounder, the salary isn't guaranteed. That is why players who are not certain to go in the first round will come back for another year. If you are a second round pick, the contracts do not have to be guaranteed so if you go to the D-league, you get paid D-league salary.
