March 28, 201313 yr Kentucky Recruiting @RecruitKentucky @JonMoore192 Ryan Harrow or Dominique Hawkins. UK will likely have one of the two on the roster next year. Kentucky Recruiting @RecruitKentucky Dominique Hawkins will likely commit on Friday, and it will be to UK. Hearing offer isn't officially on table, but "it is coming." Andrew Wiggins is meeting with Coach Cal today. Per Evan Daniels of scout WCS thinking hard about entering the draft. Kentucky Sports Radio » Blog Archive » Reading Willie?s tweet leaves Wow. I just read through the comments on that link ... what a bunch of nitwits. It makes me think the BBN 18%'ers are the rational fans, not the goofy ones. If you are looking to lose 5 points off your IQ, read the comments on there. It will also increase your appreciation for BGP. I will also add ... I will let you KSR fans bring news from that site on here because I have little interest in going on that site again.
March 28, 201313 yr How ironic would it be if Willie left and Nerlens stayed? I realize this has about a zero percent chance of happening, but say Nerlens doesn't feel good about his rehab and decides to come back. Talking about a turn of events. I guess you can dream. I wish WCS and all the guys the best no matter what they do, but I was really hoping to see him on next years squad. They will be alright with or without him, but I think he was in line for a major breakout season next year playing with those guys. Now he will have to grind away in the D-League trying to earn a spot.

The good news is that if you are remotely able you can make it in the NBA as a big man.
March 28, 201313 yr As I said after they lost to Robert Morris, no one should believe they are staying until after the deadline to declare comes and goes. It was all emotion, and even WCS said at the time that if his family wants him to go then he will go. Not really shocking that he is leaning that way.

So few quality big men in the NBA. There's a reason why guys like Nazr and Magloire are still on an NBA bench, very few big guys with skills. They're hard to come by, not like guards and swing men who are a dime a dozen. If you are seven foot, can run without tripping over your own feet, and either A.) pull boards or B.) block/contest shots, you have a legit shot in the NBA. As a big man if you possess just one skill you can stick, whether its rebounding, defense, etc. Always room for those type of guys. It always surprised me how some of these big goofs are professional basketball players as their actual basketball skill level is usually pretty low, especially when you look at how talented the guards and forwards are who play in the NBA.

If WCS leaves (which I believe he will) then I agree with truthbtold that he won't be around in a few years.
March 28, 201313 yr Hard to question any of them for leaving if they are going first round. 2013-14 NBA Rookie Salary Scale | HOOPSWORLD | Basketball News & NBA Rumors
March 28, 201313 yr Interesting tweet that just happened from WCS ☆TheFr3shPrinc3☆ @TrillWill15 In all seriousness tho lol I thought I already told everyone my answer if I'm staying or going! #notsatisfied

Maybe he's having a little fun with BBN knowing they are all on the verge of flipping out if he decided to go pro. Maybe he wants to end up surprising them ala Matt Barkley announcing to come back to USC?
March 28, 201313 yr Hard to question any of them for leaving if they are going first round. 2013-14 NBA Rookie Salary Scale | HOOPSWORLD | Basketball News & NBA Rumors I understand your rationale. I also know that the real money is in how long you stay in the league. None of these guys will be around that long if they leave not. We see the 1.3 million, but how much will they have after taxes, agent, buying things that they have dreamed about all these years?

I mean they have restrictions on how many hours they can practice. Go to the show, if you end up in D-League you are still getting paid plus you get all the time you need to practice and work with instructors.

Most of that is on your own time & dime. The improvements guys make are by training in the off-season.

I will have to take a look at the D-league salary, but I don't think it's much. Why would one more year make them better? Did you watch the same team that I did this year? Goodwin needs to work on a jumper and understand the game from a mental standpoint. A.P, sleeps most of the game and has no clue how to assert himself, and WCS has no shot outside of a dunk. I think improving their game would improve all their stock. Neither of the 3 will go top 10, I don't think. That would be a good place to start.
