UK Roster for 2013/14

Featured Replies

Matt Jones says he was talking to "someone who would know" and that IF the decision was made today (key caveat) that WCS, Archie and Poythress would return.

He also feels Harrow will not return.

That would be a crazy good team.

It's his understanding as well that D Hawkins will get an offer.

I feel like with UK lately, it's either an 'all return' or 'none return' kinda deal.

Do they have enough scholarships to house all of their recruits without losing any of this years?

Bluto posted this in another thread.

Per KSR 10 minutes ago. These predictions are what Matt thinks would happen if the decision is today. If some of our guys get red-hot during the tournament, things could change.

Randle: Yes

Poythress: Back

WCS: Back

Goodwin: Back

Wiltjer: Back

Hawkins: Yes

Polson or Hood for the 13th scholarship, with the other walking on.

Harrow: No

Nerlens: NBA

Plus our current recruits:

Harrison 1

Harrison 2

Willis

Young

Johnson

Lee

Playing time for 12 players? That is going to be a real issue............I am not giving any playing time for Polson or Hood.............................

If that scenario were to really play out, Lee, Willis, Hawkins, would see limited minutes. Dakari would see the floor, but only spot minutes. Majority of the minutes would be split between Harrisons, Young, Randle, WCS, Poythress, Goodwin, and Wiltjer. If Harrow isn't on next years team Aaron could switch over to play point if need be if Andrew was out and Young or Goodwin could play the 2. Lot of moving parts in next years roster scenario's in which I like. Lot of guys can be plugged in different lineups and lot of different looks you could throw against teams.

If all of those players come back I doubt Wiltjer even sees that many minutes. He's too big a liability on defense and if other guys can come in and score then why play Kyle?

I wouldn't mind WCS and Poythress staying, but Goodwin can go. don't know if I could take another year of his horrible play.

I don't expect to see much of Willis or Hawkins(if he comes) on the floor next season. I do expect to see Dakari and Lee get a nice amount of playing time regardless of who comes back.

One thing for sure the cupboard will be stocked no matter.

I agree...I mean Hawkins has been a great story thus far but lets come back down to earth for a minute. He's got to prove it on the next level as well in order to get the minutes, and he may very well do it, but before we insert him into an already stacked rotation let's see if he commits and then how he performs.

I'll believe Archie is back when I see it. Everything else looks very plausible to me.

Where is Harrow going?

Jones has been saying Harrow will not be back for a couple of weeks now, but has never specified where he'll go.

Any speculation at all? He has to know he is not going to get any playing time. So I guess does he want scrub time and a ring or transfer AGAIN.....................Sit out a year AGAIN....
